Tuangou market originated by meituan.com, the second but the most successful Groupon.com clone in China.  Concept: – Selling very limited number of service voucher or product within a limited time with extremely discounted price  Key Features of China’s Group buying – Number of selling items: Normally one, and often sells several items – Reselling same Items: Sometimes, one site sells same item several times, and also several sites sell one item at different time period. – Selling Time period: Normally one day, and often sells several days to weeks – Discount rate: Normally 70% discount, often sells at 80%~99% discount rate.  Types of China’s Group buying: – Service type: Service oriented traditional Group buying, dealing service such as Spa, restaurant, and so on. – Product type: Selling products with very cheap price within limited time.
