1- Find a guru and follow him

Ok; you decided to be an entrepreneur and you’re ready to start, but you don’t
really know what you need to do. Of course you can find in internet a lot of data
and tutorials; the problem is that there’s too much stuff and you can’t actually
check the background of every writer and blogger. You must find your guru; my
guru was Carther Thomas, an amazing marketing guy who started to make the
reskinning business, very easy for beginners, and made huge money from that. So:
find your guru to follow and try to understand what he made and how he made it
to be successful. Once you got it, make the same.

2- Focus on good conversion and trends

The meaning of reskinning is following another app: you must follow trends to
make best results with your apps, and you need to get good conversion for it. The
Ecpm shows your conversion and depends from 4 main factors
◉ Niche of the app
◉ Ad’s company and their revenue sharing
◉ Your Skills
◉ Type of campaigns that ad’s company have: CPM,CPC,CPI
I got some experience in advertising as well, and I can tell you this: every ad’s
company is much different from the other, and you need to choose an ad’s
company with a good conversion for your app.
You also need to know how to control the ad’s company dashboard and the
options available for every company. Regarding this I made a course about
chartboost, that shows amazing examples about this system. Different companies
allow different options for campaigns: per impression (cpm), per click (cpc) and per
install (cpi). You basically need to make games that will show ad’s from different
topics and themes to get a good conversion.

3- Find niche markets
If everybody is doing it one way, there's a good chance you
can find your niche by going exactly in the opposite direction.

You also need to choose also markets you can lead and not compete against all
big sharks with huge marketing budget. For example, if youìre from Holland, it’s a
good idea to concentrate on your local market and make app even localized for

industry and so on , it’s will help you with ASO and also will help you improve your
apps

4- Learn ASO (Android and IOS)

How can you get visibility for your apps in the different stores? The best way to do
it is called ASO, and it’s a crucial skill for you to learn. If you have no technical
knowledge and you want to get FREE downloads in the store, this is the best option
for you. Today, getting visibility in competition with millions of apps it’s a really
hard mission, and you need to learn and practice a lot until you understand how
the app store algorithm works. I hope my ASO course in Udemy will help you to
learn the basics: you can find of course a lot of free stuff on internet to learn the
basics, but to develop professional skills you will need to experiment and work on
it by yourself.

5 - Don’t try to manage too many codes - Focus

Sometimes I see accounts of developers with a lot of apps in many different topics.
What you need to do is working, in the beginning, with 2-3 source codes that
already monetized, or you can work on them with your developers and make 10-
15 reskins from every code. It’s the only way to make some auto-system that works,
and allows you to gain more and more knowledge about building the process in
the best way.

6- Learn to build an effective process and ripeat it

have today 2 options to make money with FREE apps: ad’s, IAP or both. You need
to learn everything about ad’s companies and all the options you have and make
a lot of tests in order to find the right ad’s companies for your niche.

8- Always check new business options and new things

The only stable things in app business is changes. From the moment I started until
today huge changes happened in reskin industry. In the past every garbage you
put in the store was making money, today it’s very hard to make money with
spammy apps, and you can have your accounts marked by google and apple like
spammy accounts. You always need to be updated with new rules, new updates,
new ad’s companies and new options to make revenue, new hot themes, new
trends etc….. the keywords here is “new, all those developers who work slowly and
are not reacting quickly to these changes, have really hard life in today’s app
market.

9- Hire Amazing people with good skills and lead
them
