2. Instructions
There are 3 slides for each student
The first slide will ask you to share a bit about your
case, the demands that were present
The second slide will ask what you want supervision
around
The third slide will be used for exploring the DCCRD
implications of suggested controls, as guided by the
case-sharer
As participants, not case sharers, please use the first slide
to ask clarifying questions and the second slide to suggest
controls
3. Guidelines for Supervision
When suggesting controls, remember to withhold
judgement and simply brainstorm
Follow the case-givers lead in exploring
consequences and resulting demands for their
case
4. Vicki
Please share the facts of your case:
- If you are sharing about interpreting, use the EIPI categories as
guidelines
- If you are sharing about mentoring or interpreting, think about
demands such as
- participants (age, gender, how many),
- topic,
- goal of the setting,
- intrapersonal responses/feelings,
- Interpersonal dynamics
- Other relevant demands
5. Vicki
What would like supervision around? How can we help you?
- As participants offering potential controls, consider pre, during, post if
case is interpreting related. If mentoring or teaching consider controls in
these areas:
- Resources, readings
- Activities
- Videos
- Conversations
- Guests
- Chain of command
