COSMOS, by Carl Sagan is a classic of
science popularization – one of the
first multi-media approaches to
communication.
There's the book.
There's a wonderful TV series.
There's a marvellous soundtrack.
But there's more – Cosmos is about a
vision, of the universe, and of
Humanity place in the universe.
It asks questions, and provides
alternatives.
Cosmos is certainly my book about
«What?»

networks of influence, viral ideas.
That's absolutely great.
But there's more.
THE DAY THE UNIVERSE CHANGED
is a short course in scientific relativism
– worldviews are not «wrong» until we
find better explanations.
This is also a book about the
transformative power of knowledge –
sharing ideas changes the Universe.
That's «Why?» I write.

about 80 different books on my shelf,
from very general, to highly specialized.
THE ZEN OF CREATIVITY, by John Daido
Loori, who was a photographer and a
Zen master, does not talk about the
tools of the trade (dialogue, structure
etc), but about the attitude that is best
suited to the act of creation.
So, it's basically about the psychology
of creativity, but it uses a language I
can connect with, and offers some
great insight in those basic tools.
A good, pluralist approach to the
question of «How» to write.
