Rolling Stock Maintenance Technician to attend Locomotive, DMU, EMU and Rolling Stock unit
failures and successfully get the unit back into service or relevant depot with the minimum amount
of lost time.
If you have
 Experience in rolling stock maintenance or another similar aspect of engineering,
 Knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles and fitting skills,
 Experience of supervising assistants or apprentices.

Basic Salary is c£32k + enhancements to be advised + Benefits.
Principal duties
 Service, maintenance, repair and overhaul of traction units, components and equipment in
accordance with Train specifications
 Attend track calls
 Repair defects where possible
 Liaise with the Control Centre
 Compile formal reports detailing post incident / failure
 Provide Fleet Maintenance cover during major events
 Review IT systems for defects and pro-actively monitor train defects and fix where
appropriate
 Liaise with Station staff when necessary
 Obtain, use, care for and return all tools and equipment used
 Work effectively as part of a team
 Cover incident response
