- Welcome customers, users, developers, partners and associates. I'm excited to open the 3rd annual Scylla summit. We have a packed agenda for you. Make sure to utilize industry use cases along with plenty of information about scylla. Beyond the sessions themselves, you are welcome to network with other users and with our staff, go ahead and exchange info in a peer to peer over beer!

- The early days of digital transformation - Not long ago scylla collected marine data to track ships in Sicily
- Later the scylla team, then called cloudius, came across Cassandra and we tried to accelerate it with our os without success.
- A year later was enough to launch a scylla beta at the Cassandra summit 2015. Boy, we were pretty far then from a full distributed database.
- We had lots of fun in the following years.. on the treadmill of iterative improvement
- Slowly but safely we iterated, with scylla 1.0
