Trans Europe Halles is a network of 52 independent cultural centers across 28 countries founded in 1983. The network aims to promote intercultural exchange, understanding, and artistic freedom. Member centers include Metelkova in Ljubljana, Slovenia and Kaapelitehdas in Helsinki, Finland. The network is not-for-profit and membership fees range from €275 to €1100 per year. Activities include staff exchanges, joint projects, meetings, workshops and advocacy to influence cultural policies.
