7. Workflow
1. Orders are generated by clients and eventually forwarded by the order
aggregator to the restaurant. After the restaurant confirms the order, the order
aggregator or the restaurant send it to Lokko in order to find a courier.
2. The couriers near the location are notified and the bidding for the order is
opened. A courier is finally selected and the data about him and the pick-up and
delivery time is sent to the restaurant, the end-client and the order aggregator.
3. The application can manage an eventual purchase in the name of the customer
(courier pays the order at the restaurant).
4. All the parties involved can monitor and track the delivery progress and are able
to communicate with the courier. After the order is delivered, the client can rate the
courier for his services.
5. Lokko provides information about the pick-up and the delivery actions in real
time. These data can also contain the Proof of Delivery (PoD) that consist in: client’s
signature, package photo and possible observations.
9. Integration
• Lokko provides multiple integration methods: mail parsing, API and
a web-based interface.
• The simplest solution for an order aggregator is to forward all the
order confirmation mails to Lokko and our system will generate
shipments for them.
• Restaurants and order aggregators can also integrate the full
extended API and monitor order statuses and actions using the web-based
backend.
