- We all know that social media is changing the game significantly, and that corporate career sites (brand) have spilled out into all of the social channels. - Most employers don’t know that there is over 300,000,000 million searches for “job” related content every month on Google. This is where candidates start their job search, and many of the major job boards even boast that 80% or more of the candidates who visit their sites come from the major search engines. Employers would do very well to go “direct” to these candidates even before they reach the job boards.
- Facebook now has 300 million users, which is the largest social network online, and people spend hours each day on the site (nearly living their online life there) and if employers don’t learn how to integrate these networks into their social strategy they will be losing out on a major opportunity.
