MARKET WRAP
Nifty was closed green up %, Sensex was closed green up 3.49% Last week.
Last week US Unemployment Claims 292k and US Retail Sales m/m 0.2%.
Euro & U.S markets were red; while Asian markets were red last week.
Indian equity markets ended green on Friday on this week the Sensex and Nifty
were in consolidate trend. Major sector which were up like Banking Index, Real Estate
Index Metal Index and Top Gainers are Axis Bank (up 32.20%), Punjab National Bank
(up 24.58%), DLF Ltd (up 23.94%), L&T (up 19.66%), IDFC Ltd. (up 18.65%), Kotak
Mahindra Bank (up 17.67%) & Grasim Industries (up 15.72%). Technically Nifty may
expected to up from this point or a short term range bound this week; Nifty this week
may range 5600-6000.
On the economic front, India's economy is expected to grow 5.3 percent this fiscal
year, the prime minister's economic advisory panel said on Friday, sharply lower than an
earlier estimate of 6.4 percent but higher than last year. The cabinet has approved a
plan that will allow it to borrow an additional $4.3 billion from the World Bank by investing
in special bonds, but could not agree on an increase in taxes on cotton exports
On the Global front, India's vehicle sales growth is expected to remain in the negative
in the current fiscal year ending March 2014 Domestic sales for two big Indian
automakers tumbled in August on rising fuel costs and interest rates, and the industry
looks set for more pain as a sharply weaker rupee hits profit margins during key sales
months ahead.
