This document discusses four types of interpretive assignments: realism which involves directly copying or reporting observed facts; figurative which involves interpreting and explaining concepts or ideas; figurative which again involves interpreting concepts or ideas through imagination; and abstract which involves interpreting through subjective feelings and impressions.
