Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll was born on
February 2, 1977 in Barranquilla, Colombia.
Her artistic career
started in 1981,
when she was 4
years old. She
started dancind
arabic dance and it
was her first contact
with the public.

first song, called “Tus gafas oscuras", a song that
was dedicated to her father
