  • 3. ORIGAMI The art of paper folding in Japan The term Origami came from “ori” meaning "folding", and “kami” meaning "paper".
  • 4. Started in the 17th century AD Flowers, animal s, birds, fish, geo metric shapes and dolls are the common models used in Japanese Origami. best known Japanese origami is the paper crane. Chinese were the first paper folders
  • 5. ACTIVITY 3: the art of paper folding Instructions: Make an art of paper folding out of colored or recycled paper and make your own one design per group.  Leaders will collect the outputs.
