How to use mailchimp

  2. 2. Go tohttp://mailchimp.com/ 
  3. 3. Sign up, it’s free. 
  4. 4. Fill in email, username & password. 
  5. 5. Click“Create My Account” 
  6. 6. Mailchimp will ask you to check your email. 
  7. 7. Go to your email account and open your mail. 
  8. 8. To confirm, click“activate your account.” 
  9. 9. Type the two words from Captcha. 
  10. 10. Click “Confirm Sign up” 
  11. 11. Type in your username& password, then Login. 
  12. 12. To set up your account, fill all fields. 
  13. 13. “website URL” is a required field. 
  14. 14. No website? Use the URL of your profile or blog in any social network site.
  15. 15. Go to your social network. (Facebook, Twitter, Wordpress, etc.)
  16. 16. Login and go to your profile. 
  17. 17. Coy the URL. 
  18. 18. Paste it on the field. 
  19. 19. Then, click “next” 
  20. 20. It’s email time! 
  21. 21. First, create a list.  Go to “Lists”
  22. 22. Click “Create List” 
  23. 23. Again, click “create list.” 
  24. 24. Fill in all fields. 
  25. 25. Then click “Save.” 
  26. 26. To import subscribers into your list, go to “Lists.” 
  27. 27. Click “Import” 
  28. 28. There are several ways to do this. 
  29. 29. One way is to upload a CSV file from your computer. 
  30. 30. Click “Browse” and choosethe file from your computer. 
  31. 31. Click “Import list” 
  32. 32. Second way is toCopy/paste from Excel 
  33. 33. Open your Excel file and Copy/paste here. 
  34. 34. Click “Import list.” 
  35. 35. Another way is to import from another service. 
  36. 36. After importing the list, match the columns. 
  37. 37. Type the name of thecolumn, then click “Ok.” 
  38. 38. Do the same for the other columns. 
  39. 39. Click “all done” 
  40. 40. Your list can be viewed on “subscribers.” 
  41. 41. To create a group, go to “List.” 
  42. 42. Point at “group.” 
  43. 43. Click on “create groups.” 
  44. 44. Fill in all the fields, then click “+add group.” 
  45. 45. Click “save.” 
  46. 46. To add new fields to your list,  go to “Lists” then click “list data.”
  47. 47. Click “+add field.” 
  48. 48. Choose a field type. 
  49. 49. Type the name of the new field. 
  50. 50. Click “save.” 
  51. 51. To create a campaign,  go to “dashboard.”
  52. 52. Point “create campaign.” 
  53. 53. Choose a type of campaign. 
  54. 54. Choose which list tosend this campaign. 
  55. 55. Click “next” or “Send to entire list.”
  56. 56. Set up your infromation for the campaign. 
  57. 57. Set up you email tracking. 
  58. 58. Click “next” Note: Do not use the browser’s back button.
  59. 59. Select a template for your email. 
  60. 60. Click “design genius”  if you want mailchimp to helpyou through the styling process.
  61. 61. After selecting a template, click the pencil under the template.
  62. 62. Edit your template by clicking the part you want to edit. 
  63. 63. After editing is a pre-delivery checklist. 
  64. 64. Red means you missedsomething in the campaign. 
  65. 65. To preview the campaign, click “popup preview.” 
  66. 66. If everything looks good,schedule or send your campaign. 
  67. 67. You now have a new mailman  or rather, a MAILCHIMP.
