Chelmsford City FC has appointed Mick Hull as their new Head of Commercial Sales. Hull will manage the commercial team and help expand the club's commercial activities. Hull was born and raised in Chelmsford, playing local football as a youth. He has also had a successful career as an amateur boxer. Hull's goal is to find businesses in Chelmsford to sponsor the club and help them qualify for a higher football league level.
Chelmsford City FC Appoints Mick Hull as New Head of Commercial Sales
1. The Football Club are pleased to announce the appointment of Mick Hull as its
new Head of Commercial Sales.
Trevor Smith, Chairman of Chelmsford City FC says, "I am delighted to announce
the appointment of Mick Hull as our Head of Commercial Sales. Mick will be
managing the Commercial team including Commercial Manager Mick Hooker as
the Football Club continues to build on and expand its commercial activities for
the remainder of this season and whole of next."
Mick Hull was born in Chelmsford in 1963 and lived at Upper Bridge Road as a
youngster often going to New Writtle Street in the late 60's early 70's. His
favourite players of this era were Terry Price and Eddie Dilsworth. Mick was
educated at Boswells Comprehensive and played local football for many years
representing Mid-Essex Schools and the Southend District League.
He has had a successful boxing career winning National Championships and
representing England as an Amateur, also having an unbeaten professional
record. Presently he is the President of Chelmsford Amateur Boxing Club.
Mick has worked in the City as a Eurobond Broker for 25 years. He married Gena
in 1986 and they have two sons, Joshua 27 years and Nathan 23 years.
Mick says, "I am passionate about Chelmsford as a town and more so now that it
is a City. My goal will be to find businesses in the City of Chelmsford to invest,
advertise and sponsor our Football Club enabling us to get into the Vanarama
National League and to push for qualification to the Football League. Chelmsford
City Football Club should be competing at a higher level. The fans of Chelmsford
and the people that live in our newly crowned City deserve it! I feel now is the
time to make this dream a reality. I will do my utmost to find funds to make this
come true with the help of all the businesses in Chelmsford."
