Objectives
I strive to get people, and the equipment they use, organized and easy to use. I am a firm believer in
workplace efficiency. I believe that an employee can only perform as well as the job allows him/her to. I
also enjoy working in an environment that is organized and methodical. I love to think outside the box
and, logically, create/brainstorm about ways to make the job better and/or easier to accomplish.
Education
Casper College/UW and Eastern Wyoming College
No degree/100+ credits| Pharmacy Technician/Education
 I completed 3 years at Eastern Wyoming College studying Secondary Education/Health and some
criminal justice.
 I continued my education in teaching at Casper College before I then completed 3 semesters in the
Pharmacy Technician Program. I am only 2 classes shy of a degree.
 I sat for the national exam for Certified Pharmacy Technicians in March of 2003, being that the state
of Wyoming does not require a degree to be certified, and passed. I have been working as a pharmacy
technician for 10 years, with 7 of those years being certified.
Experience
Certified PharmacyTechnician March 2003 – current
Community Health Center of Central Wyoming | 5000 Blackmore Rd, Casper, WY 82609
Walmart West Pharmacy | 4255 CY Avenue, Casper, WY 82604
Walmart East Pharmacy | 4400 East 2nd Street, Casper, WY 82609
Community Health Center of Central Wyoming | 1522 East A Street, Casper, WY 82601
I perform, and have performed, all duties of a pharmacy technician including greeting customers, taking
in their prescriptions, doing all necessary computer work in order to add their medications/new
prescriptions to their patient profile, troubleshoot any insurance issues, count medications for
prescriptions, inventory control, answer phone calls from patients, nurses, doctors, and other
pharmacies, consult with all staff pharmacists in the care and management of all of our customers,
handle faxes and called in prescriptions, order supplies, process out of date returns, run the cash register
to sell medications to our customers, and many other duties too numerous to mention.
Resume:
2
While working at the Community Health Center of Central Wyoming (see application), I was originally
hired to work part-time in the pharmacy and part-time working on applications for patients to receive
medications, free of charge, from the drug manufacturers. I had 3 days of training, by the one person in
the entire facility who knew anything about it, and then she went on vacation for a week. I was expected
to continue with the program while she was gone. So, I did. I became very proficient in a short amount of
time. The program became a full time position for me and the title of Patient Assistance Program
Coordinator was created just for me. I did research and was allowed to purchase software for the
program and tweak it to fit our needs. I was doing 10 times the work, much easier, since I could conduct
interviews, gather information, and print completed applications on the computer. I was also given my
own office and grewthe program to proportions that I could not handle the work load on my own. They
hired an assistant for me and we continued to grow the program to a 60 hour per week job. Even with all
this growth, I was, unfortunately, unable to continue to grow the program and give it the attention that
is required, due to being forced to work in the pharmacy more and more often and made to neglect the
work that desperately needed done in my office. It was a very unfortunate situation in that they allowed
me to go all out to grow the program and then did not allow me to give it the attention it desperately
needed in order to help the uninsured and under-insured individuals of our community.
Skills
 Very good at organization
 Very good with computers
 Have good interpersonal and phone skills
 Good at problem resolution/troubleshooting/brainstorming
 Very ambitious and motivated
