Canadian Landscapes

  1. 1. This picture of Niagara Falls in Ontario shows our closeconnection with our neighbour country, the United States ofAmerica. It can also be a symbol of the purity of our country,a place with kind and thoughtful people. The green floraaround shows how we flourish from this purity. I actuallytook this picture myself when I was at Niagara Falls on theOshkosh Trip with the Cadet Program in 2010. I missOntario as it had some beautiful places.
  2. 2. This picture of the La Have Islands in Nova Scotia displaysthe serene quiet you can find in the Canadian outdoors. Thestill of the water shows our respect for nature around us, anundisturbed world. Trees line the water, showing us thegrowth you can find in Canada. The clouded sky illustrateshow even during dull times, there is beauty. I know that theMaritimes in Canada are a beautiful and breathtaking placefor landscapes. I would love to go to Nova Scotia to live andbreathe in this wonderful place.
  3. 3. This picture of the Canadian Rocky Mountains in BritishColumbia overwhelms me with feeling. At first, I feelnervous at the sheer size that the mountains truly are. Next, Iam curious as to how much fun it would be to go soaringwithin these mountains. Finally, I am simply amazed at themountains’ beauty and might. Perhaps one day, I shallvacation in the mountains.
  4. 4. This picture of the Canadian High Arctic and I am amazedthat such a majestic photograph exists. It is striking with itslines, colours and shapes. Such a beautiful place fascinatesme! I doubt that I would be able to go on an Arcticexploration, however, I would love to see more snapshots ofthe Arctic in the future.
  5. 5. To finish, this is a picture of the Prairies in Saskatchewan, myhomeland and province. Compared to the others, this pictureis simple with plain lines and few colours. Yet, I feel like thisis my favourite out of the five. This is what I love, the beautyof simplicity at home. Everything is as it should be.Saskatchewan will always be home, no matter where I live.
