  • 2. Individual Efforts • Avoid using products containing chlorofluorocarbon; don’t buy chlorofluorocarbon products
  • 3. National Efforts • Government should ban chlorofluorocarbon. They should encourage the use of chlorofluorocarbon free products • Government should also take part in international agreements on reducing ozone depletion
  • 4. International Efforts • The Montreal Protocol was an international agreement signed by many countries in 1987 • The treaty aims to reduce using chlorofluorocarbon and stop using it in completely in 2000 • USA and 12 countries in Europe agreed to stop using chlorofluorocarbon in 2000
