Presentation For the Science for Impact- Building The Critical Mass. Workshop Facilitated by CTA and Jointly Organized by UNRE, NARI and USP School of Agriculture and Food Technology, Samoa Theme 4. Communication, Consultation and Cooperation. The presentation by Dr Didier Pillot from Supagro, Montpellier, France, was particularly appreciated as it brought in views and ideas from outside of the region. Quality Assurance was presented as a guarantee for clients and a management tool for institutional improvement. QA is especially important when training is being done jointly by more than one institution. A Masters degree in sustainable agricultural development co-partnered by six European universities was described. Lessons that may be learnt by Pacific universities were discussed with an itemization of possible QA parameters and a discussion on possible procedures.
