2. The opening shot reveals the
surface of water. The light is
reflection off it and it is at night. This
adds an eery, dark feel to the
sequence.
3. The whole sequence is seen through
the reflection of the water. This reflects
how Max the twisted psychopath, sees
or stalks the family in the plot. The
eagle represents a bird of pray and an
animal praying on a smaller creature.
This also represents his motives.
4. All the names of the production
team and cast appear to be cut in
half. Their reflects the
brokenshattered personality of
Max. All the names appear like this
and not just his, which implies that
they might all have a dark side.
5. Finally the name of the film is
revealed and it swell is cut in
half. The water reflection is
continuous with abstract
colours being reflected.
6. In this shot what can be seen as a face is reflected
off the water. His facial expressions imply that he is
moaning or sad of some sort. He is looking down
on the camera from a high angle which make shim
look superior.
7. A figure is shown through the reflection of the
water. The hand is shown and it looks as if it is
grabbing something. The figure is anonymous
and their face is not shown. This adds a
creepy, eery feel. The reflection alters and
moves, imitating the characters qualities.
8. An eye is revealed and the emotion
looks stern and wide to show anger and
seriousness. We can see that this may
be the refection of the stalkers eye. The
water is used as a symbol of him
reflecting all the aspects of his nature.
9. The drop of blood is a strong symbol and
connotation of horror and death. The drop
is surrounded by a red background. The
bottom of the screen is grey to show the
darkness of him. The background is still
the reflection of the water surface.
10. A pair of eyes then appear from the
blood background. They are different
from the other eye we saw. These are
not as stern they look female.
11. They then turn into an x-ray vision lens.
This adds to the intensity of the scene.
The extreme close up creates an
uncomfortable environment for the
viewer. These are looking straight at
the audience putting them on edge.
12. The shot then zooms out to reveal a young girl
taking as if in a presentation. She is wearing a
white T-shirt which implies she is in school. She
is looking straight at the camera and this
exposes her as a character. This closeup still
maintains the intensity.
