What constitutes blasphemy in Islam and Christianity. Throughout the centuries Islam has promoted death or maiming of those insulting the Islamic ideology.
2. Blasphemy is “the act or offense of
speaking sacrilegiously about God or
sacred things; profane talk.”
Now these same people are using
international organizations to pressure
various countries to criminalize, and
globally censor blasphemy and freedom
of speech.
For years Islamists have targeted
embassies abroad and individuals at
home for “insulting” the Prophet
Muhammad.

In 1988 Salman Rushdie published “The
Satanic Verses,” which was considered to
be offensive to Islam and the Ayatollah
Khomeini, the highest ranking Iranian
political and religious authority who
pronounced a death sentence on Rushdie
and that sentence was supported the
majority of Muslims.

The Christian position is very different.
Piss Christ is a 1987 photograph by the
American artist and photographer
Andres Serrano. “It depicts a small
plastic crucifix submerged in a glass of
the artist's urine. The piece was a
winner of the Southeastern Center for
Contemporary Art's "Awards in the
Visual Arts" competition, which was
sponsored in part by the National
Endowment for the Arts, a United States
Government agency that offers support
and funding for artistic projects, without
controlling content.”

The piece caused a scandal when it was
exhibited in 1989, U. S. Senators Al
D'Amato and Jesse Helms, were
outraged that Serrano received $15,000
for the work, and $5,000 in 1986 from
the taxpayer-funded National
Endowment for the Arts yet they did
not call for his murder or maiming.

There were two men crucified at the
same time as Jesus, “Mt. 27:44 The
robbers who had been crucified with
Him were also insulting Him with the
same words.”

But no one has killed him.
No one has cut off his hands and feet on
the opposite sides of his body.
In the Gospel of Luke 23:38 the criminal
repented of his sins and Jesus said to
him, ““Truly I say to you, today you shall
be with Me in Paradise.”

6. Oddly enough on November 30, 2013
the FBI's released hate crime statistics
covering 2012 have once again thrown
cold water on the tired narrative that
American Muslims find themselves
under siege from increasingly violent
"Islamophobes.“
The persecution of blasphemers is
tyrannical, imposed by an oppressive
government, with a malicious disregard
for human rights.
Islamophobes are defined as people
who are prejudiced against Muslims.
Hate crimes perpetrated against
Muslims decrease yet hate crimes
perpetrated against Christians have
increased.

Muhammad’s marrying of a 6-year old
was acceptable behavior but insulting
Islam should be punishable by death.
