Selected Highlights in Internal Communications

• Organised the internal communications in VimpelCom (NYSE:VIP) during merging
and acquisitions period of time in 2009, increasing employees’ awareness of the
business processes and the outcomes by organizing special events, presentations and
meetings with top management, interviews and articles in the Intranet network.
• Supervised internal and external communications and events during London
Olympics and Paralympics as a team member of MegaFon (LSE:MFON) and provided
deep understanding through the employees the reasons and the outcomes of company’s
participation in this high-profile event.
• Implemented the knowledge of communications in social networks during the launch of
the first internal social network for employees in MegaFon (LSE:MFON) and was
responsible for the news, polls, infographics and other content.
• Served as a Senior PR Manager of Central Russia in VimpelCom (NYSE:VIP) and
provided internal communications, events and publications during the 10 years’
anniversary of operations in, including the launch of the “VimpelCom People” website.
• Supervised realisation and implementation of CSR, social and charity projects for
employees in Russia and CIS on behalf of MegaFon (LSE:MFON) and VimpelCom
(NYSE:VIP) companies, including blood donation events, charity events in orphanages
and environmental campaigns.
Communications during business and management changes
DESCRIPTION:
ROLES AND ACHIEVEMENTS:
Communications during merges and acquisitions in VimpelCom
(NYSE:VIP) in 2009 to increase employees’ awareness of the business
processes and the outcomes + communications during the MegaFon
(LSE:MFON) IPO process in order employees how exactly that influences
their jobs in particular and how things in the company will change.
Managed the communications plan and supervised all the events and
activities.
Accomplishments:
•Several big meetings with the CEO and employees were held.
•Organised CEO’s interviews on the Intranet portal and in internal
magazine for employees.
•Organised CEO’s video address to the employees of the both companies
– merging and merged.
•Organised team-building events for the company’s team, providing
accommodation, content part etc.
•Issued articles in the Intranet and corporate magazine about the IPO
process in general: what is IPO? Why do we need it? How it can influence
the typical employee?
•Speechwriting for the CEO.
Digital Internal Communications

knowledge of communications in external social networks
Accomplishments:
•Issued news, contests, polls for employees on a daily basis.
•Performed as a team player during the launch of “VimpelCom People”
website about the employees of the company, their achievements, non-
business activities to raise the reputation of the HR brand #1 and
employees’ devotion to the company and motivation.
•Managed the communications of the CEO’s blogs and hotlines.
•Promoted the social network through news releases, e-mails,
presentations.
•Organised the “Thank you” campaign for the employees: each of them
had an opportunity to send a public “Thank you” note to the other colleague.

part of communication program for employees and their children “Safe
Internet”.
•Organised the participation of the VimpelCom (NYSE:VIP) employees and
their families in the environmental “Bloggers Against Rubbish” project.

EXAMPLES AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
•Supervised the issue of the first MegaFon (LSE:) information
newsletter for employees of the customer offices with
recommendations of how to provide assistance to people with
disabilities.
•Supervised the issue of internal newsletters for VimpelCom
(NYSE:VIP) sales managers on a monthly basis in Central Russia.
•Participated in the process of issue corporate magazines and
newspapers.
Crisis Communications and Special Internal Events
EXAMPLES AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
•Implemented an internal communication program for VimpelCom
(NYSE:VIP) employees in the period of the competitor’s market
expansion to keep high morale and motivation and to remind
employees about the company’s strength and reputation.
•Facilitated and managed the implementation of a communication
program for VimpelCom (NYSE:VIP) employees across Central Russia
to celebrate the 10 years anniversary of operations, providing events
and publications, including the launch of the “VimpelCom People”
website (http://www.beelinepeople.ru).
•Implemented the ‘HR brand Number 1 in Russia’ program,
promoting the VimpelCom (NYSE:VIP) call-centres as the prestigious
and safe place to work in.
•Implemented the program which encouraged senior students to
work with new students to help them succeed and assimilate social
and study lifestyles, reducing social isolation and developing the sense
of community. The program was called “Introducing to Student’s Life”; it
was developed in 2005 and up until now it remains one of the best
practices in MESI, adopted by all university’s branches across Russia.

Selected Highlights in Internal Communications 3 • Organised the internal communications in VimpelCom (NYSE:VIP) during merging and acquisitions period of time in 2009, increasing employees’ awareness of the business processes and the outcomes by organizing special events, presentations and meetings with top management, interviews and articles in the Intranet network. • Supervised internal and external communications and events during London Olympics and Paralympics as a team member of MegaFon (LSE:MFON) and provided deep understanding through the employees the reasons and the outcomes of company’s participation in this high-profile event. • Implemented the knowledge of communications in social networks during the launch of the first internal social network for employees in MegaFon (LSE:MFON) and was responsible for the news, polls, infographics and other content. • Served as a Senior PR Manager of Central Russia in VimpelCom (NYSE:VIP) and provided internal communications, events and publications during the 10 years’ anniversary of operations in, including the launch of the “VimpelCom People” website. • Supervised realisation and implementation of CSR, social and charity projects for employees in Russia and CIS on behalf of MegaFon (LSE:MFON) and VimpelCom (NYSE:VIP) companies, including blood donation events, charity events in orphanages and environmental campaigns.
  • 4. Communications during business and management changes DESCRIPTION: ROLES AND ACHIEVEMENTS: Communications during merges and acquisitions in VimpelCom (NYSE:VIP) in 2009 to increase employees’ awareness of the business processes and the outcomes + communications during the MegaFon (LSE:MFON) IPO process in order employees how exactly that influences their jobs in particular and how things in the company will change. Managed the communications plan and supervised all the events and activities. Accomplishments: •Several big meetings with the CEO and employees were held. •Organised CEO’s interviews on the Intranet portal and in internal magazine for employees. •Organised CEO’s video address to the employees of the both companies – merging and merged. •Organised team-building events for the company’s team, providing accommodation, content part etc. •Issued articles in the Intranet and corporate magazine about the IPO process in general: what is IPO? Why do we need it? How it can influence the typical employee? •Speechwriting for the CEO.

Digital Internal Communications • Communications in the Intranet. • Communications on the corporate website and additional website about company’s employees. • The launch of the first internal social network for employees. . DESCRIPTION: ROLES AND ACHIEVEMENTS: Provided content on a daily basis / supervised the structure / implied the knowledge of communications in external social networks Accomplishments: •Issued news, contests, polls for employees on a daily basis. •Performed as a team player during the launch of “VimpelCom People” website about the employees of the company, their achievements, non- business activities to raise the reputation of the HR brand #1 and employees’ devotion to the company and motivation. •Managed the communications of the CEO’s blogs and hotlines. •Promoted the social network through news releases, e-mails, presentations. •Organised the “Thank you” campaign for the employees: each of them had an opportunity to send a public “Thank you” note to the other colleague.

General Annual Events • Annual Employees Meetings. • Business meetings and presentations for employees about major high-profile projects and sponsorships of the company or about the work of different departments. . DESCRIPTION: ROLES AND ACHIEVEMENTS: Provided event organisation and the content. Accomplishments: •Created and managed an Award Ceremony for those, who achieved outstanding results in their work and performance. •Organised high-profile internal seminars for experience exchange between company’s branches. •Supervised internal communications and events during London Olympics and Paralympics as a team member of MegaFon (LSE:MFON) and provided deep understanding through the employees the reasons and the outcomes of company’s participation in this high-profile event.

CSR & Charity • The Annual Blood Donation Event. • Charity events for orphanages and sick children. • “Safe Internet” project for employees and their kids. • Environmental movement “Bloggers Against Rubbish”. . PROJECTS: ROLES AND ACHIEVEMENTS: Provided event organisation and internal communications / involved employees and their families. Accomplishments: •Two blood donation events with participation of 1K of employees. •Donation events for sick children of the employees, raising more than $20K. •Facilitated internal social projects which were adopted by other branches including the ‘Tree of Wishes’ charity program for 1K orphans. •Supervised the creation of educational video (http://bit.ly/SafeVimp) as a part of communication program for employees and their children “Safe Internet”. •Organised the participation of the VimpelCom (NYSE:VIP) employees and their families in the environmental “Bloggers Against Rubbish” project.

Internal Printed Materials EXAMPLES AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS: •Supervised the issue of the first MegaFon (LSE:) information newsletter for employees of the customer offices with recommendations of how to provide assistance to people with disabilities. •Supervised the issue of internal newsletters for VimpelCom (NYSE:VIP) sales managers on a monthly basis in Central Russia. •Participated in the process of issue corporate magazines and newspapers.
  • 9. Crisis Communications and Special Internal Events EXAMPLES AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS: •Implemented an internal communication program for VimpelCom (NYSE:VIP) employees in the period of the competitor’s market expansion to keep high morale and motivation and to remind employees about the company’s strength and reputation. •Facilitated and managed the implementation of a communication program for VimpelCom (NYSE:VIP) employees across Central Russia to celebrate the 10 years anniversary of operations, providing events and publications, including the launch of the “VimpelCom People” website (http://www.beelinepeople.ru). •Implemented the ‘HR brand Number 1 in Russia’ program, promoting the VimpelCom (NYSE:VIP) call-centres as the prestigious and safe place to work in. •Implemented the program which encouraged senior students to work with new students to help them succeed and assimilate social and study lifestyles, reducing social isolation and developing the sense of community. The program was called “Introducing to Student’s Life”; it was developed in 2005 and up until now it remains one of the best practices in MESI, adopted by all university’s branches across Russia.
