Dr Helalley Abdelhady Helalley Biography
1. Helalley Abdelhady Helalley is the chief of industrial effluent
management, sludge treatment and reuse sector at Alexandria
Sanitary Drainage Company(Egypt) with responsibility for
managing different activities of industrial effluent, sludge treatment
and reuse activities.
Prior to joining ASDCO, Helalley worked in Alexandria for soap and
Oil Company. Notable is his one year as Manager of water treatment
unit.
Helalley received Ph. D of Environmental Science from Canal Suez
University form 1996-2002. He Received USA training Twining
programme-Sludge and Industrial Effluent Management and
Effluent Reuse at 1994. He received also TOT of Wastewater
treatment Managers at Mediterranean zone at Greece, 1996. He
received Sludge treatment, industrial effluent treatment and
wastewater treatment at Germany, 2006. He received a field training
of improving aquatic environment at Barcelona & Marcel, 2006.
He received Study tour and workshop of sustainable sanitation for
the City of the future training at Delft-Holland, 2010.
His professional interests focus on (management of industrial
effluent, sludge treatment and effluent reuse), and his current
projects include (improvement of industrial effluent management for
New Borg el-Arab city, using nano-technology in treating and
reusing industrial effluent. In addition, he is a member of National
society for protection of water bodies environment.
