The September 2015 Torrance residential real estate market report showed improvement in median days to sell and total listings but declines in total sales, median sales price, and sales to listing ratio month-over-month. Year-over-year, there was a 28.9% rise in total sales, a $47,000 increase in median sales price, and 31.9% reduction in median days to sell. Inventory levels remained stable month-over-month but declined 25.9% year-over-year.

13. Summary
According to the MLS, Torrance real estate activity in September improved with respect to the market median days to sell and
total listings but declined marginally for total sales, market median sales price, and the sales/listing ratio. Year-over-year stats
proved encouraging with a 28.9% increase in total sales, a $47K bump in the market median sales price, and a 31.9% drop in the
median days to sell.
In the news… C.A.R. reports “Statewide sales were above the 400,000 mark for the sixth straight month” with the median home
price increasing “4.3 percent from September 2014.”
