Web 2.0 is a buzz word or blanket term a shorthand for a set of internet technologies that allow a greater degree of usability and integration aimed at a more fragmented, rich and varied audience. It could be argued that there is no longer an audience in the traditional sense but individual users.
Principles of collaboration and sharing informing the ethos of Web 2.0 can be re-contextualised for learning and teaching scenarios.
