Summary overview
More than 20 years’ experience in the mining industry.
 Commenced as a Learner Official (Mining) at Gengold where I completed the
comprehensive training program, which included obtaining a National – and Higher
National Diploma in Metalliferous Mining from Technikon Witwatersrand. I went on
to become a Mine Overseer in several Production Shafts.
 My career in the Gold Mining Industry during the 1990’s was followed with a career
in the Platinum Mining Industry.
 I was employed at a number of Private Companies which include, “ Boart Longyear-
Percussive Drilling Services and JIC Mining Services.” Filled positions such as
Mine Overseer, Site Superintendent, Site Manager and Drop Raise Manager.
 became a specialist in Drop Raising and joined Anglo Platinum at Swartklip Union
Section, where I enjoyed great success in wiping out all the backlogs with drilling
and blasting teams. For my efforts, I was awarded and won numerous rewards on
Production and Safety disciplines.

 Had a total left-knee replacement in 2012 which limited me to surface category
positions. Subsequently, to be more versatile, I qualified as a Facilitator, Assessor
and Moderator (ETDP SETA).
 Currently looking for surface opportunities. My credentials speak for themselves.
Combined with high energy levels, a high level of commitment, willingness to
accept responsibilities outside the scope of work, and the interpersonal skills
necessary to handle conflict and challenging situations, I can and will make a
