Friends of Brockley & Ladywell Cemeteries
1. Introduction
The Friends of Brockley & Ladywell Cemeteries is a voluntary membership
organisation with an annual membership subscription.
All members shall complete a membership registration form.
This policy is intended to ensure good practice in the involvement of members in the
work of the Friends of Brockley & Ladywell Cemeteries and to promote
understanding between members in the organisation.
2 Role in Decision Making
Members will be consulted on any major policy
Members will be encouraged to express their opinions on the work of the
Friends of Brockley & Ladywell Cemeteries. All members are invited to attend
and to speak at committee meetings, as well as at General Meetings.
3 Conditions
Insurance arrangements will be in place to cover members them whilst
undertaking duties on behalf of the Friends of Brockley & Ladywell Cemeteries.
4. Equality and Diversity
The Friends of Brockley & Ladywell Cemeteries relies on member involvement to
keep it relevant to the community and so encourages involvement from all sections
of the community.
The Friends of Brockley & Ladywell Cemeteries operates an Equality and Diversity
Policy. It should ensure that it does not unfairly exclude or discourage the
involvement of potential volunteers because of:
class
race, colour, nationality or ethnic background
disability
sex or marital status
sexual orientation
unrelated criminal record.
If a member has a special need or disability that makes their involvement difficult,
every effort will be made to involve them. An explanation will be given if this is not
possible.
