The main objective for the Global Marketing agency (a factious agency) is to build a better understanding of
General Motors products. The Global Marketing agency will increase the student’s awareness by holding an
event called “The Chevy-Geo World Tour”.
The Global Marketing agency was divided into several departments to achieve the best outcome for this
promotion. The departments are as follows: CEO, Coordinators, Research, Promotion, Client Presentation, Plans
and Recap Book, Budget, and Advertising. Descriptions of departments as follows:
CEO: Actively working to overseeing the entire project and monitoring the individual department’s progress.
Frequent contact will be accomplished by CEO with SGRO Promo Associates, American Chevrolet-Geo, and other
contacts.
Coordinators: Scheduling entertainment for the event and assist with main event activities.

(Modesto Junior College students), and tabulate the results. A post event survey will be produced to receive
reaction and information about main event.
Promotion Department: Requesting donations from various local business. Physical structure of the main event
will be developed along with date and time of event.
Advertisement Department: Determining the advertising plan, in keeping with our international theme. The
production of newspaper releases, fliers, promotional video, and radio commercials will be accomplished.
Budget Department: Quickly calculate all receipts, monitoring expenses, and contacting SGRO Promo Associates
to request funds.
Client Presentation: Providing an overview of the main events campaign. Date and time formulation for the
formal presentation to clients.

recap books. Members will collect information from each department. The information for the recap book will
include post event survey and a pictorial from the event. All information will be sent to SGRO Promo Associates
for approval and to provide completion information.
The development of the plans and recap department:
The plans book department is using a glob on the cover of its book to represent our theme “The Chevy-Geo
World Tour”. We hope that a world of difference is provided by our project and a better understanding of
General Motors products is accomplished.
The following are the elements in which we have focused on:
*The plans book department of Global Marketing agency organized its self to retrieve information for the plans
book and reap book.
*A photo scrap book of our meetings and events was composed.
*Ideas for the plans book and recap book were presented by each of the members.
*Feedback was presented on all ideas that occurred during meetings.
*Deadlines were set for information to be turned in to accomplish the plans book and recap book.

Sample number 1:
Thank you ______________ for the introduction,
As a member of the Global Marketing Plans Book department, I am delighted to have the opportunity to
speak with you about the process our department went through to be able to deliver a successful project to you.
A copy of the plans book was recently presented to you. We hope you enjoyed our book.
This book is to show our accomplishment of how we approached our goal of getting college students
interested in automobiles made by General Motors.
The first day we gathered to work on the plans book, we developed a plan of organization in order to
retrieve information from each of our departments. The plans book department of the Global Marketing agency
has compiled information from the staff members of research, advertising, promotions, budget, and
presentation departments.
The plans book members made many decisions to present an overview of our agency and our marketing
goals. In the beginning, we assisted each of our groups with feedback on the materials they had discovered for
our event called “The Chevy-Geo World Tour”. We have learned that communication is an important element to
accomplish our goal.
The structure throughout the plans book was built to show the procedures of accomplishing our goal
and we hope that our event will make a world of difference to the future customers. We decided to place
pictures in the plans book to give a visual aid of our members who helped in accomplishing the plans book.
After collecting all the information, the plans book members computerized the data to produce the
book with assistance of Global Marketing’s agency’s CEO.
Also, we have one other element to publish. We are currently looking over ideas for the recap book. The
main event is coming soon and we are excited. More inspiring market plans are to be developed. Our target
market will be inspired by our event in which we hope to captured their spontaneous reactions and receive
valuable information for the recap book.
We appreciate the opportunity to take part in the General Motors Marketing Internship program. Thank
you!
I now wish to introduce to you the representative of our budget department, __________.

Promotion
The main objective for our agency, Global Marketing, is to inform students on the Modesto Junior
College campus of General Motors products. This will be accomplished by holding an event on campus that will
attract the student body to participate in a scavenger hunt. To encourage student participation, there will be
music and prizes which were donated by the business in our local community. We will demonstrate the
automobiles presented by American Chevrolet-Geo of Modesto, California.
The day of the event will be Wednesday, May 10th
, 1995 from 9 am to 3 pm, at the Modesto Junior
College campus near the main quad.
Our event will reflect our international theme by focusing upon the various cultures around the world.
Music that is native to different parts of the world will be played throughout the day.
A scavenger hunt will be taking place among the automobiles. After completing a brief survey of
information located inside each automobile, the participants will be provided complimentary refreshments.
Our event is designed to be informative and fun.
An information center will be provided for any questions that the student body of Modesto Junior
College would like to have answered.
Advertising Objective
The advertising department of the Global Marketing agency have worked towards informing their target
market, the students of Modesto Junior College, about the unique event to take place on Wednesday, May 10th
,
1995. This event allows the students to become familiar with products that General Motors offers its customers
and allows the students to be aware that there are far more advantages to the product than ever thought
before.
Advertising is an important part of a successful promotion. The exposure in different media types will
insure the success of the event.
Advertising will consist of the following:
Spirit Rally
As we make a “world of difference” on “The Chevy-Geo World Tour,” we will be stopping for a “Spirit
Rally”. The rally will provide us with time to reflect on the accomplishments of our agency, to form an alliance as
one (the Global Marketing agency), and to accomplish our goal, the main event. This “Spirit Rally” will take place
on Thursday, April 20th
, 1995.
We plan to place our advertisement of our event around the campus grounds to generate excitement
from the students of Modesto Junior College. When we meet up again, in agency headquarters, refreshments
will be served to help us fuel our energy for the approaching event. Taking this excitement with us, we will meet
one last time to discuss the forthcoming event on May 10th
, 1995.
As we develop a “world of difference,” we will carry the true spirit of General Motors products with us.
Public Relations
The Public Relations department of the Global Marketing agency has compiled information for the
results of its research survey and used this information as a basis for the upcoming event which will commence
on Wednesday, May 10th
, 1995 from 9 am to 3 pm on the main lawn of the Modesto Junior College campus.
Press releases have been developed and implemented for the event called, “The Chevy-Geo World Tour”.
Invitation will be mailed for our presentation to the General Motors executive and dealership personnel,
the representatives from SGRO Promo Associates, and those who have contribute their time for the General
Motors Marketing Internship project.
In addition to invitations, thank you letters will be sent to who donated the prizes that will be given
away at the event and to others who donated their time and talents to make this a successful project.
