2. A unique learning & life experience
in a fascinating city: Barcelona
ESADE, a top Business School located in Barcelona, Spain, offers a
multidisciplinary study abroad program during the summer (and at other times
of year as a customized group program), consisting of globally-orientated courses
taught by ESADE’s teaching staff, all experts in their fields of research. The
International Summer Program is enriched by diverse socio-cultural activities
that provide an insight into Spanish and European culture, as well as by visits
to global companies including Desigual, Unilever, Mango and Hewlett Packard.
The program offers the opportunity to learn, interact and network with students from
different cultural backgrounds through a dynamic and innovative learning method.

activities, with numerous art museums, concert venues, theatres and cinemas,
organising events all year round. Barcelona’s geographic location also makes it an

ACCOMMODATION
ESADE’s Barcelona-Sant Cugat campus boasts a modern student hall of residence,
featuring spacious communal areas, comfortable private rooms with en-suite facilities,
a self-service restaurant and other services. If requested, the Admission Service
can also provide information about other housing options in private flats, studio
apartments, hotels etc.

OBJECTIVES
The aim of this program is to help participants to:
Broaden their international experience and develop a more global understanding
Complement university studies with courses on contemporary subjects
Discover Barcelona’s cultural richness and cosmopolitan atmosphere
Improve their competencies in Spanish or another foreign language
Experience ESADE and become a part of its learning community
Be in contact with entrepreneurs and social leaders from Europe and Latin America
Visit successful international companies and get an insider’s perspective

sTUDENT PROFILE:
Undergraduate and graduate students of any discipline and nationality
Language of delivery: English

Summer Session 1: four weeks in June
Summer Session 2: four weeks in July

HOUSING: Information on optional housing in the modern student residence

7. ACTIVITIES
The program includes a variety of activities: 4 excursions and 4 company visits and meetings
with corporate and social leaders. The purpose of these activities is to provide students with:
Experiential learning and a better understanding of the program topics
Better knowledge of Barcelona and Spain as a whole, Spanish culture, arts,
economy and society
Opportunities for networking with other program participants and international students
Reflection on social issues and social justice
Focus discussions with social and corporate leaders
