Alaska Native Heritage Month is a time of reflection and celebration of the culture, heritage, and legacy of Alaska’s first people. The University of Alaska Anchorage Department of Athletics is pleased to invite you to attend and participate in the first ever Alaska Native Heritage Month – Seawolf Jamboree (men’s basketball tournament).
2. Alaska Native Heritage Month presents the 2015 Seawolf Jamboree
Alaska Native Heritage Month is a time of reflection and celebration of the culture, heritage, and legacy of Alaska’s
first people. The University of Alaska Anchorage Department of Athletics is pleased to invite you to attend and
participate in the first ever Alaska Native Heritage – Seawolf Jamboree men’s basketball tournament.
The Jamboree is a two day tournament featuring men’s basketball teams from Cal State Dominguez Hills, Life
Pacific, UAF, and your UAA Seawolves.
In an effort to celebrate and share Alaska Native culture with Seawolf fans, the UAA Department of Athletics with the
support of Seawolf Sports Properties has organized an event to engage our audience in a unique cultural experience.
3. Alaska Native Heritage Month presents the 2015 Seawolf Jamboree
With the help from our presenting and supporting sponsors your Seawolves will be able to host several events
throughout the two day tournament including an arts and crafts village, 200 tickets for students and faculty of the
Alaska Native Culture Charter School, an interactive Alaska Native dance halftime presentation, a digital language
exchange, hospitality gifts, kids crafting table, and more.
4. Alaska Native Heritage Month presents the 2015 Seawolf Jamboree
Our Village:
Our village will be comprised of several booths/exhibits featuring Alaska Native artist and craftsmen who will be
showcasing and selling their artistries in the Packer Family Pavilion of the Alaska Airlines Center.
Booth space will be limited to five (5) to six (6) exhibitors. Artist will receive one 6” skirted table, Wi-Fi accessibility
and two game day tickets. Space is reserved by invitation only.
5. Alaska Native Heritage Month presents the 2015 Seawolf Jamboree
Our Kids:
Our kids allows us to extend and invitation and 200 game day tickets (100 tickets for each night of the Jamboree) to
the Alaska Native Culture Charter School. Students and faculty will be invited to join us for a one of a kind fan
experience including a fan-cam tribute and public address announcing our guest attendance.
Our Dance:
Our culture is an invitation to the students at ANCCS to demonstrate Alaska Native dance as part of a halftime
performance. Later fans will be invited to join ANCCS students for a hands on learning demonstration and
experience.
6. Alaska Native Heritage Month presents the 2015 Seawolf Jamboree
Our Language
Our language is a exciting and engaging way to share Alaska Native dialect from across the state. Alaska Native
words will appear on the LED ribbon boards throughout each game highlighting a word, meaning, region from which it
originates and phonetic pronunciation.

Our hands will feature an arts and crafts table for kids to create Alaska Native inspired crafts to take home with them.
