3. Our Idea:
Plant trees to improve our
environment, prevent
pollution, and stop
deforestation.
4. Four Steps to Create Change:
1. Feel
2. Imagine
3. Do
4. Share
5. Step One: Feel
We first thought about our
community.
• What is a community and who
is part of our community?
We then formed groups and thought
about problems in our community
that we would like to change.
• What do we see that needs
change?
• What should we do to create
change?
6. Step Two: Imagine
After we voted and decided to plant trees, we
asked ourselves five questions:
What…
kind of trees should we plant?
Where….
will we plant them?
Who…
will plant the trees?
When…
will we plant the trees?
How…
will we educate others about the trees and
pollution prevention?
7. Step Three: Do!
To plant the trees, we split into five
groups based on our future career
goals.
8. The Police & Army
The Police & Army searched and built the garden
for our trees. They practiced their detective skills
and field work!
9. Artists & Lawyers
The artists and
lawyers drew a
diagram of our tree
plot and advertised
the Day of Change
around school.
They practiced
their drawing and
writing skills!
10. Journalists
The journalists designed & distributed
invitations and conducted interviews at
our Day of Change for an article. They
practiced their journalism skills!
11. Computer Engineers
The computer engineers documented
our entire Week of Change with a
digital camera. They practiced their
technology skills!
12. Doctors
The doctors compiled information about trees and
made informative charts. They practiced their
information retention and communication skills!
15. Step Four: Share
•We organized an exhibition of our trees for our local
community.
•Each group completed its task, and we shared
information about trees with
parents, teachers, community members, and our guest
of honor: Principal Sir.
17. Our Day of Change was successful
and fun. Now Ravi’s Brilliant High
School will be full of beautiful
trees that reduce pollution,
educate others, and save the
environment!
