Question three

  • 1. What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
  • 2.  My magazine would be sold in local corner shops and supermarkets due to its versatile style and genre, others of the same genre are sold in these places. It is good for publicity as shopping is a necessity for everyone and therefore the magazine would be in plain sight for potential customers. Also during research I discovered that many teenagers before and after school go to shops or supermarkets to purchase food or drink so my magazine shall be widely advertised to its target market.
  • 3.  As well as this I would also have an internet copy that you could subscribe to in order to make the magazine more accessible for people who for example catch a school bus and therefore have no time to get to the shop or for those who prefer to read from their laptop or computer. I would also have the magazine as an app for smart phones in order to appeal to the new generation who are multimedia based, this allows for better interaction and easier access to those who move around a lot and either prefer reading from their phones or find it easier to carry around than a magazine.
  • 4.  These ways of communicating are easy to access and are useful for students who are always on the move and spend time travelling to their lectures and classes; this would be making the magazine more convenient for the target market.
