Good Stuff Happens in 1:1 Meetings: Why you need them and how to do them well
The Recipe for Motivated Staff
1. The Recipe for Motivated Staff
The tough globalized market pushes companies to seek highly motivated and
committed staff members who give almost more than their best. Unfortunately, this
doesn’t fit very well with the contemporary employee mind-set.
Though employees are highly motivated to be actively committed, if only in their
chosen occupational field, they no longer trust manipulative enticements by their
employers that aim to squeeze out the last drop of their best performance. They no
longer feel loyal to the company as the company treats them as interchangeable
resources. Employees demand more and higher acknowledgements, adequate to
their personality. Employees nowadays overall want to be recognised as unique
individuals who deserve personal relations in their workplace (2)
These differences in expectations produce disappointment, dissatisfaction, suffering
and anger on both sides. But how do we solve this problem when there already exist
a multitude of motivational reward systems that should work efficiently but don’t? (1)
This is a global dilemma. It is affecting every level of the workplace, national
economies and the world economy. This ongoing dis-ease between employer and
employee is having a devastating impact.
The LD / WD approach is to assist Companies to see the uniqueness, dignity, choice
and responsibility of each of its Staff Members. Aligned with Company role, is the
role of the Employee to find their Meaning, Purpose and Fulfillment in their
workplace. The combination puts both parties on a very different footing and
therefore both get to experience different, better and more sustainable results.
LD / WD see people as holistic – the PQ-EQ-SQ approach of body, mind and soul.
This inclusivity approach allows ROI to climb dramatically from the researched report
of 12% for traditional training and psychology – to staggering numbers of improved
engagement, performance and contribution.
LD / WD is a proud partner of several global organisations offering:
personal development online assessments that includes EQ (Emotional
Intelligence) and Energy fit to job/role criteria, Purpose of Life and Blood Type
eating and lifestyle management
