Come and support a terrific charity and get a unique perspective as participants traverse the airport’s taxiways, runways and ramps. We have space for 250 runners (ages 18 and older) with first-Inside this issue: come-first-serve registrations which will include a race t-shirt. The Fly Paper Page 2 NBAA 2012 Update Bahamas Fly-In and Help Out Event The NBAA Static Display team held a site visit at Showalter on February 29th for the upcoming NBAA Convention (October 30-November 1, 2012). The look of the Static Display has changed greatly over the last 3 years as the exhibiting aircraft manufacturers have entered into a game of one- upmanship trying to have the biggest and best display. As an example,On Thursday, February 16th, Hawker Beechcraft houses their entire fleet of aircraft under a football fieldShowalter was the meeting place for sized structure. With changes like this being commonplace, NBAA has in-the participants in the latest Baha- formed us that they will need to be on-site in our tie-down area for a totalmass Habit Fly-In Help-Out. Planes of 20 days! That is 1/3 more days than the last time they were here inloaded with volunteers and supplies 2009. While the NBAA Convention is a big boost to the airport, we alsolaunched from our ramp to the islands understand that its presence prohibits our customers from operatingfor a weekend of service.
