Oregon has seen a proliferation of interest in developing regional trails and regional trail systems across the state, to augment quality of life and build world-class infrastructure for trail users from around the globe. However, most of these ambitious, visionary community leaders who have embarked on an audacious multi-jurisdictional trail project have run into exceptional hurdles – whether they be leadership, environmental permitting, funding or implementation.
