                                 27 rooms

Strategically placed just a few steps from the Duomo, facing onto the
very central via Mazzini and via Torino, Maison Milano is the result of
the restructuring of a historical building in Milan. The leitmotif of the
restoration is a blend of Art Déco and contemporary style.

The idea behind this hotel is in the name: Maison Milano is the promise
of an exclusive and tailor-made stay which goes beyond the traditional
idea of the number of “stars”. For its guests it is more of an elegant
“address in town” in the busy heart of Milan, ideal for business or
leisure travellers. A new concept in hospitality aimed at those who are
looking for a “home from home” in this city, where they can feel free to
do as they please with their time, without giving up the typical
comforts of staying in a hotel.

Guests are welcomed by an elegant modern entrance, in an
environment made exquisitely luxurious by best quality products of
Italian design, unique objects chosen for their style which blend
tradition and modernity, objects such as Flos e Fontana Arte lamps and
padded Frau chairs, pieces which anyone would be happy to have at
home.

All 27 rooms, among them a penthouse with a splendid view of the city, differ from each other in their layout and
setting just like rooms in a private stately home.
Spacious, light and welcoming, the rooms provide a white background with touches of wengé wood, furnished in
contemporary style with pieces by such designers as Philippe Starck and Jean-Marie Massaud, antiques by old masters
like Flos lamps – the “Arco” designed by Castiglioni, the “Foglio” designed by Scarpa – and pieces of Fontana Arte –
such as the “Parola”, also by Castiglioni and Aulenti and Ingrand’s “Fontana”.
All the soft furnishing both in the rooms and in the public areas are Poltrona Frau, an international brand, a synthesis
of the elegance and perfection of the made in Italy design. The “pièces de resistance” are the Aurora beds with wide
and welcoming bedsteads which have been specially redesigned for Maison Milano. There are also Vittoria armchairs
and classic Lyre armchairs, which evoke the elegance of Victorian sitting rooms, armchairs usually found in West End
Clubs, reproduced in lighter more versatile versions. The Isidoro trunk, opens out into an elegant mobile bar in the
middle of the hall. The leather upholstery used is in a range of five shades, white, cream, beige, camel as well as yellow
and opaline blue, creating a game of colour contrasts with the other furniture.
The walls are decorated with masterpieces of photography, showing scenes of city life in Milan, taken from the Fratelli
Alinari collection and specially adapted for Maison Milan.
Attention to detail can also be seen in the spacious marble bathrooms, with Zucchetti taps designed by Matteo Thun.
To complete the picture, a sitting room with a corner bar.

There are 4 types of rooms, each one is unique in the way it is set out. Different floor and wall  decorations
are used to outline the bed area. They have a safety lock, an alarm system, a writing desk , telephone, safe, WiFi
Internet connection, Mini Bar, satellite TV and air conditioning.
All bathrooms have a telephone, hairdryer, alarm system, bathtub with shower, hospitality set and magnifying
         mirror.

BONSAhI Villa Le Maschere - Barberino - Florence
Twenty-two masks in sandstone, classical and grotesque, decorate the façade and guard the treasures of one
of the most beautiful late Florentine Renaissance country estates, which, after fine restoration lasting five
years has become a new exclusive tourist resort.
Poised on a hill in the Mugello, overlooking the Bilancino lake, Villa le Maschere is a five star resort which is a
perfect blend of great architectural value and contemporary interior design. It is the height of “made in
Italy” (all the furniture was made by Italian craftsmen), where every details have been carefully studied and
tailor made to provide an atmosphere of preciousness and elegance.
Fresco and plasters together with modern furnishing create peerless beauty settings in the 65 rooms, 8
meeting rooms, restaurants and bar. To complete the picture there are a spacious fitness room, a
splendid wellness centre, 2 swimming pools and a romantic 18 hectare park stretching down to
the banks of Lake Bilancino.
A warm and informal welcome with personalized service in a refined and discreet atmosphere make Villa le
Maschere the ideal place to refresh and restore one’s energies. The cuisine is based on local products and
traditional dishes recreated by the chef Fabio Danzo.
Villa le Maschere, in Barberino di Mugello is the start of an international launching of a strategically placed
area (close to Florence and Bologna) generously endowed with beautiful scenery, gourmet fare and art
treasures. Mugello is an authentic region mostly still to be discovered.

Villa le Maschere, a 450 year old story
Built in the second half of the sixteenth century by the Bettini family, Villa le
Maschere has changed hands only once: at the beginning of the seventeenth
century, it was bought by the Florentine family Gerini, who widely restored and
restructured it and redesigned the park as an Italian garden with pleasant walks.
At the end of the seventeenth century, Giovanni Battista Foggini, sculptor and
architect to the Grand Duke of Tuscany, Cosimo III de’ Medici left his mark
there. Foggini was the author of masterpieces such as sculptures in the Chiesa
del Carmine and the Santissima annunziata basilica in Florence. He also
designed parts of many Florentine buildings of that period, among them the
impressive staircase of the Medici-Riccardi building.
In the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, Villa le Maschere, already
considered one of the most beautiful villas in Tuscany for its hilltop location, on
the road between Florence and Bologna, hosted popes (Pope Pius IX), royalty
(Carlo Emanuele IV king of Sardinia and king Carlo Felice). It was also visited
by nobility and artists who gave memorable feasts, like the one on the occasion
of the marriage of the marquis Carlo Gerini to Isabella Magnani. This meant
new décor, embellishment and restyling. The crests of the noblewomen who
lived in the Villa, among them Caterina de’ Medici, married to Ottavio Gerini,
face the visitor in the lobby of the resort.
At the beginning of the twentieth century, a bathroom was added to each floor,
some of them decorated with famous majolica from the nearby kiln Manifattura
Chini in Borgo San Lorenzo (still operating). These ones also decorated what
used to be the gardener’s house, today the Chini Pavilion (housing 13 rooms).
In 1963 Villa le Maschere was abandoned by the Gerini. This began a process
of decay which caused the collapse of the roofs and the loss of frescoes,
decorations and stuccoes, leading to it being declared by the Ministry of Culture
as “irremediable”

A perfect harmony between luxury and simplicity, a warm hospitality, a special atmosphere rich of pleasing details: these are
the secrets of Villa Roma Imperiale, a romantic 4 star superior villa of 32 rooms located in the most exclusive area of Forte

surrounded by a beautiful private park with swimming pool and whirlpool. The lively architecture of patios and balconies are
not typical of an hotel but more of a private home; that is in fact how the villa was born during the 1920s and how it still
maintains its warm and familiar atmosphere.

  • 27. BONSAhI UNA Maison Milan 27 rooms Strategically placed just a few steps from the Duomo, facing onto the very central via Mazzini and via Torino, Maison Milano is the result of the restructuring of a historical building in Milan. The leitmotif of the restoration is a blend of Art Déco and contemporary style. The idea behind this hotel is in the name: Maison Milano is the promise of an exclusive and tailor-made stay which goes beyond the traditional idea of the number of “stars”. For its guests it is more of an elegant “address in town” in the busy heart of Milan, ideal for business or leisure travellers. A new concept in hospitality aimed at those who are looking for a “home from home” in this city, where they can feel free to do as they please with their time, without giving up the typical comforts of staying in a hotel. Guests are welcomed by an elegant modern entrance, in an environment made exquisitely luxurious by best quality products of Italian design, unique objects chosen for their style which blend tradition and modernity, objects such as Flos e Fontana Arte lamps and padded Frau chairs, pieces which anyone would be happy to have at home.

  • 34. All 27 rooms, among them a penthouse with a splendid view of the city, differ from each other in their layout and setting just like rooms in a private stately home. Spacious, light and welcoming, the rooms provide a white background with touches of wengé wood, furnished in contemporary style with pieces by such designers as Philippe Starck and Jean-Marie Massaud, antiques by old masters like Flos lamps – the “Arco” designed by Castiglioni, the “Foglio” designed by Scarpa – and pieces of Fontana Arte – such as the “Parola”, also by Castiglioni and Aulenti and Ingrand’s “Fontana”. All the soft furnishing both in the rooms and in the public areas are Poltrona Frau, an international brand, a synthesis of the elegance and perfection of the made in Italy design. The “pièces de resistance” are the Aurora beds with wide and welcoming bedsteads which have been specially redesigned for Maison Milano. There are also Vittoria armchairs and classic Lyre armchairs, which evoke the elegance of Victorian sitting rooms, armchairs usually found in West End Clubs, reproduced in lighter more versatile versions. The Isidoro trunk, opens out into an elegant mobile bar in the middle of the hall. The leather upholstery used is in a range of five shades, white, cream, beige, camel as well as yellow and opaline blue, creating a game of colour contrasts with the other furniture. The walls are decorated with masterpieces of photography, showing scenes of city life in Milan, taken from the Fratelli Alinari collection and specially adapted for Maison Milan. Attention to detail can also be seen in the spacious marble bathrooms, with Zucchetti taps designed by Matteo Thun. To complete the picture, a sitting room with a corner bar. There are 4 types of rooms, each one is unique in the way it is set out. Different floor and wall  decorations are used to outline the bed area. They have a safety lock, an alarm system, a writing desk , telephone, safe, WiFi Internet connection, Mini Bar, satellite TV and air conditioning. All bathrooms have a telephone, hairdryer, alarm system, bathtub with shower, hospitality set and magnifying mirror.

Villa le Maschere, a 450 year old story Built in the second half of the sixteenth century by the Bettini family, Villa le Maschere has changed hands only once: at the beginning of the seventeenth century, it was bought by the Florentine family Gerini, who widely restored and restructured it and redesigned the park as an Italian garden with pleasant walks. At the end of the seventeenth century, Giovanni Battista Foggini, sculptor and architect to the Grand Duke of Tuscany, Cosimo III de’ Medici left his mark there. Foggini was the author of masterpieces such as sculptures in the Chiesa del Carmine and the Santissima annunziata basilica in Florence. He also designed parts of many Florentine buildings of that period, among them the impressive staircase of the Medici-Riccardi building. In the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, Villa le Maschere, already considered one of the most beautiful villas in Tuscany for its hilltop location, on the road between Florence and Bologna, hosted popes (Pope Pius IX), royalty (Carlo Emanuele IV king of Sardinia and king Carlo Felice). It was also visited by nobility and artists who gave memorable feasts, like the one on the occasion of the marriage of the marquis Carlo Gerini to Isabella Magnani. This meant new décor, embellishment and restyling. The crests of the noblewomen who lived in the Villa, among them Caterina de’ Medici, married to Ottavio Gerini, face the visitor in the lobby of the resort. At the beginning of the twentieth century, a bathroom was added to each floor, some of them decorated with famous majolica from the nearby kiln Manifattura Chini in Borgo San Lorenzo (still operating). These ones also decorated what used to be the gardener’s house, today the Chini Pavilion (housing 13 rooms). In 1963 Villa le Maschere was abandoned by the Gerini. This began a process of decay which caused the collapse of the roofs and the loss of frescoes, decorations and stuccoes, leading to it being declared by the Ministry of Culture as “irremediable”
