AutoProtect is 50% owned by Capricorn Ventures International (CVI) the venture
capital arm of Hollard Insurance Group with the remaining 50% owned by

CARAVAN PROTECT

Caravan Protect is designed specifically to run alongside the existing manufacturer’s
warranty period to ‘top-up’ their body warranty and extend major internal
component cover to provide total peace of mind for the full duration of the
manufacturer’s warranty, which could be up to five years.

Significant benefits
This policy covers electrical and mechanical components as well as glass, reinforced
plastic and plastic panels, fitted as part of the manufacturer’s original specification but
excludes water ingress and delamination.

Exclusions
Caravans:
 which have been modified in any way from the manufacturer's specification and any
make of Caravan not built for principal sale in the UK
 which are owned temporarily or otherwise (resulting from trade-in or acquisition for
the purposes of resale) by a business formed for the purposes of selling or servicing
 Caravans used for private hire, or caravans used for any competitive event.
MOTORHOME PROTECT

Motorhome Protect is designed to help with the cost of repairs, including labour, VAT
and replacement parts.
Silver – listed component
Gold – covers ALL electrical and mechanical components

TOURER PROTECT AND TOURER PROTECT PLUS

Tourer Protect
Tourer Protect is designed for caravans that have exceeded their manufacturer
warranty and owners that wish to protect their caravan for a longer period of time.
This policy covers many major electrical and mechanical components, fitted as part of
the manufacturer’s original specification. Also includes water ingress cover for
caravans under seven years old.

Tourer Protect Plus
Tourer Protect Plus covers ALL electrical and mechanical components as well as
glass, reinforced plastic (GRP) and plastic panels, fitted as part of the manufacturer’s
original specification, including water ingress and delamination.

Exclusions
Tourers:
 which have been modified in any way from the manufacturer's specification and any
make of Caravan not built for principal sale in the UK
 which are owned temporarily or otherwise (resulting from trade-in or acquisition for
the purposes of resale) by a business formed for the purposes of selling or servicing
 Caravans used for private hire, or caravans used for any competitive event.
BIKE PROTECT

Bike Protect is designed to help with the cost of repairs, including labour, VAT and
replacement parts.

Significant benefits
 All mechanical and electrical components are included against any mechanical
breakdown occurring during the policy period, provided that the terms and
conditions of this agreement are fully complied with.
 Motorcycle replacement.
 Motorcycling abroad.
 Day-one cover.

Exclusions
General: All body panels including covers, cowlings, fairings, windshield, paintwork,
trims and seat. Routine replacement of parts such as lubricants and control cables.

MOTORCYCLE PROTECT

Bike Protect is designed to help with the cost of repairs, including labour, VAT and
replacement parts.

Significant benefits
 All mechanical and electrical components are included against any mechanical
breakdown occurring during the warranty period, provided that the terms and
conditions of the agreement are fully complied with.
 Day-one cover.
 Transferable.
 Unlimited claims.
 Unlimited mileage.

Exclusions
General: All body panels including covers, cowlings, fairings, windshield, paintwork,
trims and seat. Routine replacement of parts such as lubricants and control cables.
Adjustments or any other parts which deteriorate during normal usage.
RECOVERY

AutoProtect, through its partner Call Assist, is able to offer a 24/7 breakdown
recovery service. This can be provided to customers as a standalone product or
alongside our warranty product range.

Significant benefits








Operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Controllers are trained to the highest degree and are backed by the latest computer
technology and mapping facilities.
Fully trained network of Recovery Operators throughout the United Kingdom and
mainland Europe.
Alternative travel arrangements whilst your customer’s vehicle is being repaired.
Emergency overnight accommodation.
Recovery of caravans and trailers attached to your customer’s vehicle
Message service.

Exclusions
Any repairs undertaken by a Recovery Operator at their premises are provided under a
separate contract, which is between you and the garage.
CUSTOMER PROTECT ASSIST

ASSET PROTECTION

The choice between GAP and RTI depends on how your customer originally
purchased the vehicle.
If they have paid for the car outright, they will need our Return To Invoice (RTI)
insurance to ensure they get back what they paid for the vehicle in the event of a claim.
If your customer is paying for the car on a finance agreement, then our Guaranteed
Asset Protection (GAP) insurance will make sure that if their insurance payout falls
short, they won’t be left with the outstanding finance that they owe. Of course, this is
subject to the terms and conditions contained in the policy document.
Our Combined GAP and RTI insurance incorporates Return to Invoice Cover (RTI) and
Guaranteed Asset Protection (or GAP) and could pay out the greater of either the RTI
or GAP pay-out, protecting your customer whatever their circumstance.

Designed to provide financial protection if they have taken out a finance agreement

  • 40. ASSET PROTECTION The choice between GAP and RTI depends on how your customer originally purchased the vehicle. If they have paid for the car outright, they will need our Return To Invoice (RTI) insurance to ensure they get back what they paid for the vehicle in the event of a claim. If your customer is paying for the car on a finance agreement, then our Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) insurance will make sure that if their insurance payout falls short, they won’t be left with the outstanding finance that they owe. Of course, this is subject to the terms and conditions contained in the policy document. Our Combined GAP and RTI insurance incorporates Return to Invoice Cover (RTI) and Guaranteed Asset Protection (or GAP) and could pay out the greater of either the RTI or GAP pay-out, protecting your customer whatever their circumstance.
