AutoWorld is an auto-orientated company that specialise in auctions, valuations
and logistics, with our main focus being moveable asset auctions.
Having successfully managed and coordinated over 450 vehicle auctions, it is
and always will be our priority to assist customers to maximise returns and
minimize expense. AutoWorld will work with you to customise a program to meet
your unique business requirements.

Our turnkey service proposition provide all our clients with a unique integrated
marketing approach to re-market all moveable assets efficiently and risk-free.

Collection & Transport
As part of our service delivery, AutoWorld will collect running and non-running
vehicles nationally. Our quick reaction time will ensure that the vehicle is
collected within 24 hours.
Vehicles can be equipped with mobile tracking devices in order for us and our
clients to monitor driver behaviour and vehicle locations 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week. This feature ensures that the convoy follows the predetermined routes.
Collections within a 50km radius from our auction centres are free of charge.
	
  
Receiving & Inspections
AutoWorld has developed a comprehensive inspection report namely the iReport
to ensure that the conditions of vehicles are recorded correctly. The iReport was
designed to capture important information necessary to complete electronic
auction data effectively.
The iReport enables us to:
Eliminate vehicle condition discrepancies in future;
Control receipt checks with detailed date & time stamps;
Immediately capture data on our IT systems on receipt of vehicles;
Track and report vehicle data continuously;
Generate daily, weekly & monthly stock reports.
Physical daily stock takes are conducted along with our iReport to ensure
synchronous information and is available for audit purposes.
The iReport provides us with a daily update of vehicles in storage, movement
and releases to buyers and is available to our clients.
Insurance risks remain with AutoWorld at all times while the assets are in our
possession.
Storage
Vehicles are stored under roof in a secure lock-up facility. The premise is
conveniently situated next to the N1 freeway between Johannesburg and
Pretoria where our clients can enjoy secure parking along with a cup of coffee
and excellent service.
The premise is guarded by a 24 hour armed response system along with outside
beams, electric fencing as well as strict access control.
With our extensive insurance plan, assets are automatically insured once we
take possession and the vehicles are stored without charge.

Valet Service & Reconditioning
AutoWorld offers a full in-house valet and cleaning service on premises for our
clients at no charge.
All assets undergo a full valet to enhance its appearance and minor repairs such
as charging the battery, supply of fuel etc., are included to ensure that we can
start the engine.
We have business relationships with auto body repairers, auto electricians,
mechanics, glass repair businesses and many more. Their services are available
for any repairs that our client may require.
AutoWorld will have no repair work done before we have received written
authorisation from the client.
	
  
Valuations
At AutoWorld, our valuation programme was designed not only using the motor
industry's standard vehicle valuation methods to determine the value of a vehicle.
To achieve the most reliable market values, we believe that the principles of supply
and demand should also be incorporated into the process.
Our Valuations are therefore the most accurate and market related in South Africa.
The Valuations that we provide is based on the information supplied by you.
The client must ensure that the information provided about your car is honest and
accurate.
Buying, selling, replacing or trading any vehicle is and always have been one of the
most unpredictable challenges you will have to deal with. The AutoWorld business
model is an innovative programme based on the basic principles used in all
economies around the world.
Supply and demand is the most reliable indicating factors to determine true value
of the vehicle.
	
  
Reports & Payments
A comprehensive sales report is handed over to our clients after an auction for
audit purposes. The AutoWorld account manager assists our client in any
questions regarding the sales report.
The sales report will reflect the following details:
Detailed vehicle particulars;
Buyer details;
Purchase price;
Percentage of trade achieved on every vehicle sold;
Turnaround time for each vehicle (the total number of days in our
possession);
Supplier details;
Purchase date;
Other relevant information.
AutoWorld will issue a complete sales schedule, once the sales report figures
have been verified and accepted by the client.
The client will then issue invoices for the agreed amounts, where after AutoWorld
will effect payment within 5 working days.
	
  
A vehicle-unsold report will also be available for discussion. The vehicle can then
be loaded onto the online auction within the next 2 days.
A vehicle purchased by a cash buyer and not paid by the third day will be
cancelled and made available for the next auction. A cancellation report will be
issued to the client within three days after the auction.
AutoWorld will supply the client with invoices regarding all auction sales
transactions, including proof of the change of ownership.
All documents and financial records of AutoWorld are kept in our archives for a
minimum period of 5 years. These records are available on request.
Marketing and Advertising.
To ensure that the live auctions are widely attended and that sufficient interest is
created around the online auctions, AutoWorld believes that aggressive promotion
is key to creating a feeling of urgency and excitement. This will then ensure that
maximum prices can be achieved for the client.
Direct invitations:
AutoWorld designs and distributes auction announcements. These
announcements are targeted to new prospective buyers as well as buyers on
our existing database to ensure that serious clients attend the auction. This is
executed via sms, fax reminders and personal telephone invitations.
AutoWorld will distribute online auction notifications through their national
dealer database, which is in excess of 2000 dealerships.
AutoWorld will also undertake to do telemarketing, and extend invitations to
specific prospective new buyers, especially in exotic high profile items.
Promotional material:
To ensure effective results, AutoWorld creates all promotional material and
other printed items for the client to promote the live and online auctions. This
will include announcement cards, brochures, leaflets, bidder packages and
direct mail pieces.
Printed media:
AutoWorld’s live and online auctions are advertised extensively on a monthly
basis. We permanently advertise in the Transunion Auto Dealers Guide as well
as the Commercial Dealers Guide.

At AutoWorld, we strongly believe that the best results today can be
achieved via electronic exposure.
Our AutoWorld website is going from strength to strength and is regarded
by us as a very powerful medium to attract potential buyers to the auction
floor. Vehicles can be viewed online for auction and online auction purposes.
We cover advertising costs as part of our excellent service.
Auction Process
Live and online auctions are held every week.
Live auctions commence every Monday at 11h00.
Online auctions run every Wednesday from 8h00 and close at 15h00.
Mobile Auctions are held according to customer needs.
AutoWorld will compare details received from the client with actual vehicle details
( Natis documents ) to ensure accuracy of information on the venduroll and
auction catalogue. All information is loaded onto our electronic auction database
and vehicle tracking system.
All buyers have to register in order to take part in the bidding process.
A refundable deposit is required to register and to obtain a buyers card.
The auction steps:
Reading of the auction conditions as prescribed by the NCA.
Buyers are invited to ask questions as trained AutoWorld personnel are
always available on the auction floor.
The auction is recorded on tape and the auctioneer records all bidding
prices on the venduroll. There is a person assisting the auctioneer with
the recording of bid prices on a second venduroll to ensure all
information and sales prices are correct.
AutoWorld will provide the client with all sale statistics and results
immediately after the auction.
The highest bidder is the buyer, on condition that we have obtained the
reserve price. If the highest bid is below the reserve price, we will sell the
asset/vehicle subject to confirmation (stc). AutoWorld will only proceed
with the transaction after the client has confirmed the lower price. If the
minimum reserve price cannot be reached, the lot will be withdrawn from
the auction to be re-auctioned the following week.
A copy of the venduroll page is sent to the admin office after every sixth
lot as this allows for additional time to start with the processing of buyer
Vat invoices.
Payment is received from successful buyers (only EFT and bank cheques
acceptable).
No vehicle will be released until payments have been confirmed and are
visible on our bank statements.
Buyers have to complete and sign NCO (5)(2004/11) form with ID of the
proxy attached. These documents are sent to the local authorities to
inform them that vehicles have been sold. The buyer is only responsible
for any traffic or licensing violations from the point of collection where the
buyer’s number plates are applied. AutoWorld will have all permanent
buyer details and copy of proxy ID's on record to eliminate any delays in
transferring the assets into the new owner/buyers name.
AutoWorld will issue a release note with an office stamp and signed by the
person responsible. A signed NCO document serves, as part of the
release note giving permission to the warehouse manager to release the
vehicle/handover the keys.
IT and Systems Security
Operational information such as financial and auction data are managed by
applications stored on our central server. Access to this data requires
authenticated connection to the server.
A security policy is in effect that requires network passwords to be changed
every 40 days. Complex passwords are enforced.
All users need to be part of a domain hosted by the central server. All user data
folders are hosted on the server and users need to log in under the domain in
order to gain access to their data and e-mail. Users with laptops have their data
backed up to the server on a daily basis.
External access to the Internet is gained via a router connected to a Telkom
ADSL line to supply e-mail and Internet functionality. The router has a built in
firewall and utilises N.A.T. (network address translation) as a security measure.
All desktop computers are housed inside lockable steel cabinets and users take
the keys with them to ensure that computers cannot be removed from the
enclosures after hours. The central server is secured in a custom built, steel
cabinet. The external company that does the IT-support for AutoWorld holds the
keys for this cabinet.

  • 3. Executive Summary AutoWorld is an auto-orientated company that specialise in auctions, valuations and logistics, with our main focus being moveable asset auctions. Having successfully managed and coordinated over 450 vehicle auctions, it is and always will be our priority to assist customers to maximise returns and minimize expense. AutoWorld will work with you to customise a program to meet your unique business requirements. Autoworld is able to turn your liabilities into cash. We know the market better than anyone and our daily interaction with retailers, wholesalers, fleet owners, financial institutions and corporate businesses provide us with the inside knowledge of the latest market, price, consumer and industry trends. We believe that our “Value Added Approach” and our vast experience in the auction business and motor industry will ensure successful results to you as our potential client. The combination of live as well as online auctions empowers us to provide fast and effective turnaround times on assets.   • 7. Collection & Transport As part of our service delivery, AutoWorld will collect running and non-running vehicles nationally. Our quick reaction time will ensure that the vehicle is collected within 24 hours. Vehicles can be equipped with mobile tracking devices in order for us and our clients to monitor driver behaviour and vehicle locations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This feature ensures that the convoy follows the predetermined routes. Collections within a 50km radius from our auction centres are free of charge.  
  • 8. Receiving & Inspections AutoWorld has developed a comprehensive inspection report namely the iReport to ensure that the conditions of vehicles are recorded correctly. The iReport was designed to capture important information necessary to complete electronic auction data effectively. The iReport enables us to: Eliminate vehicle condition discrepancies in future; Control receipt checks with detailed date & time stamps; Immediately capture data on our IT systems on receipt of vehicles; Track and report vehicle data continuously; Generate daily, weekly & monthly stock reports. Physical daily stock takes are conducted along with our iReport to ensure synchronous information and is available for audit purposes. The iReport provides us with a daily update of vehicles in storage, movement and releases to buyers and is available to our clients. Insurance risks remain with AutoWorld at all times while the assets are in our possession.
  • 9. Storage Vehicles are stored under roof in a secure lock-up facility. The premise is conveniently situated next to the N1 freeway between Johannesburg and Pretoria where our clients can enjoy secure parking along with a cup of coffee and excellent service. The premise is guarded by a 24 hour armed response system along with outside beams, electric fencing as well as strict access control. With our extensive insurance plan, assets are automatically insured once we take possession and the vehicles are stored without charge.   • 10. Valet Service & Reconditioning AutoWorld offers a full in-house valet and cleaning service on premises for our clients at no charge. All assets undergo a full valet to enhance its appearance and minor repairs such as charging the battery, supply of fuel etc., are included to ensure that we can start the engine. We have business relationships with auto body repairers, auto electricians, mechanics, glass repair businesses and many more. Their services are available for any repairs that our client may require. AutoWorld will have no repair work done before we have received written authorisation from the client.  
  • 11. Valuations At AutoWorld, our valuation programme was designed not only using the motor industry's standard vehicle valuation methods to determine the value of a vehicle. To achieve the most reliable market values, we believe that the principles of supply and demand should also be incorporated into the process. Our Valuations are therefore the most accurate and market related in South Africa. The Valuations that we provide is based on the information supplied by you. The client must ensure that the information provided about your car is honest and accurate. Buying, selling, replacing or trading any vehicle is and always have been one of the most unpredictable challenges you will have to deal with. The AutoWorld business model is an innovative programme based on the basic principles used in all economies around the world. Supply and demand is the most reliable indicating factors to determine true value of the vehicle.  
  • 12. Reports & Payments A comprehensive sales report is handed over to our clients after an auction for audit purposes. The AutoWorld account manager assists our client in any questions regarding the sales report. The sales report will reflect the following details: Detailed vehicle particulars; Buyer details; Purchase price; Percentage of trade achieved on every vehicle sold; Turnaround time for each vehicle (the total number of days in our possession); Supplier details; Purchase date; Other relevant information. AutoWorld will issue a complete sales schedule, once the sales report figures have been verified and accepted by the client. The client will then issue invoices for the agreed amounts, where after AutoWorld will effect payment within 5 working days.  
  • 13. A vehicle-unsold report will also be available for discussion. The vehicle can then be loaded onto the online auction within the next 2 days. A vehicle purchased by a cash buyer and not paid by the third day will be cancelled and made available for the next auction. A cancellation report will be issued to the client within three days after the auction. AutoWorld will supply the client with invoices regarding all auction sales transactions, including proof of the change of ownership. All documents and financial records of AutoWorld are kept in our archives for a minimum period of 5 years. These records are available on request.
  • 14. Marketing and Advertising. To ensure that the live auctions are widely attended and that sufficient interest is created around the online auctions, AutoWorld believes that aggressive promotion is key to creating a feeling of urgency and excitement. This will then ensure that maximum prices can be achieved for the client. Direct invitations: AutoWorld designs and distributes auction announcements. These announcements are targeted to new prospective buyers as well as buyers on our existing database to ensure that serious clients attend the auction. This is executed via sms, fax reminders and personal telephone invitations. AutoWorld will distribute online auction notifications through their national dealer database, which is in excess of 2000 dealerships. AutoWorld will also undertake to do telemarketing, and extend invitations to specific prospective new buyers, especially in exotic high profile items. Promotional material: To ensure effective results, AutoWorld creates all promotional material and other printed items for the client to promote the live and online auctions. This will include announcement cards, brochures, leaflets, bidder packages and direct mail pieces.
  • 15. Printed media: AutoWorld’s live and online auctions are advertised extensively on a monthly basis. We permanently advertise in the Transunion Auto Dealers Guide as well as the Commercial Dealers Guide. Upcoming auctions are advertised in various newspapers and magazines Website: At AutoWorld, we strongly believe that the best results today can be achieved via electronic exposure. Our AutoWorld website is going from strength to strength and is regarded by us as a very powerful medium to attract potential buyers to the auction floor. Vehicles can be viewed online for auction and online auction purposes. We cover advertising costs as part of our excellent service.
  • 16. Auction Process Live and online auctions are held every week. Live auctions commence every Monday at 11h00. Online auctions run every Wednesday from 8h00 and close at 15h00. Mobile Auctions are held according to customer needs. AutoWorld will compare details received from the client with actual vehicle details ( Natis documents ) to ensure accuracy of information on the venduroll and auction catalogue. All information is loaded onto our electronic auction database and vehicle tracking system. All buyers have to register in order to take part in the bidding process. A refundable deposit is required to register and to obtain a buyers card. The auction steps: Reading of the auction conditions as prescribed by the NCA. Buyers are invited to ask questions as trained AutoWorld personnel are always available on the auction floor. The auction is recorded on tape and the auctioneer records all bidding prices on the venduroll. There is a person assisting the auctioneer with the recording of bid prices on a second venduroll to ensure all information and sales prices are correct.
  • 17. AutoWorld will provide the client with all sale statistics and results immediately after the auction. The highest bidder is the buyer, on condition that we have obtained the reserve price. If the highest bid is below the reserve price, we will sell the asset/vehicle subject to confirmation (stc). AutoWorld will only proceed with the transaction after the client has confirmed the lower price. If the minimum reserve price cannot be reached, the lot will be withdrawn from the auction to be re-auctioned the following week. A copy of the venduroll page is sent to the admin office after every sixth lot as this allows for additional time to start with the processing of buyer Vat invoices. Payment is received from successful buyers (only EFT and bank cheques acceptable). No vehicle will be released until payments have been confirmed and are visible on our bank statements. Buyers have to complete and sign NCO (5)(2004/11) form with ID of the proxy attached. These documents are sent to the local authorities to inform them that vehicles have been sold. The buyer is only responsible for any traffic or licensing violations from the point of collection where the buyer’s number plates are applied. AutoWorld will have all permanent buyer details and copy of proxy ID's on record to eliminate any delays in transferring the assets into the new owner/buyers name. AutoWorld will issue a release note with an office stamp and signed by the person responsible. A signed NCO document serves, as part of the release note giving permission to the warehouse manager to release the vehicle/handover the keys.
  • 18. IT and Systems Security Operational information such as financial and auction data are managed by applications stored on our central server. Access to this data requires authenticated connection to the server. A security policy is in effect that requires network passwords to be changed every 40 days. Complex passwords are enforced. All users need to be part of a domain hosted by the central server. All user data folders are hosted on the server and users need to log in under the domain in order to gain access to their data and e-mail. Users with laptops have their data backed up to the server on a daily basis. External access to the Internet is gained via a router connected to a Telkom ADSL line to supply e-mail and Internet functionality. The router has a built in firewall and utilises N.A.T. (network address translation) as a security measure. All desktop computers are housed inside lockable steel cabinets and users take the keys with them to ensure that computers cannot be removed from the enclosures after hours. The central server is secured in a custom built, steel cabinet. The external company that does the IT-support for AutoWorld holds the keys for this cabinet.
