So, we’re all done.
How do you feel
about your annual
review?                    I don’t like annual reviews. They are
                           stressful.

                           How can you judge my performance from
                           2 months ago, let alone 10?

                           What am I supposed to do with this
                           information? It is not relevant to what my
                           job will be for the year to come.

                           And why is my manager reviewing me? My
                           peers are the people who know my daily
                           performance best.

Hm.                        Why do we still do annual reviews?

I guess because we
always have.

If the point of a review is to help me to
improve myself, I need a better system.

Just overheard you talking...you know,
we recently installed a new SharePoint
plugin called Aspenware Improve.

It solved the annual review dilemma at
my company!




             JANUARY 2013
It makes sure that people get continual
positive feedback from their peers and their
managers.

It even lets us get direct feedback from our
customers if we turn on that feature!

Rather than allowing negative
criticism, it encourages peers to call
out problems by offering solutions.

After all, we want to help each
other out--we are on the same
team!

company’s goals and ask for help to reach
them, and employees love it because they get
tangible responses about how their
contributions affect the company!

We love it! People talk all the time about the badges
they earn. Managers get a much better idea of how
their staff is doing, and there are no more stressful
annual reviews!
