Network
      Is Connection.

 Connection of what?

 What is your answer?
Is it like this!

∗ Connection of peoples.
∗ Connection of universities.
∗ Connection of schools.
∗ Connection of countries.
∗ Connection of all world.
So What is a computer Network

∗ A Network is connection of tow computers
Some More
∗ Connection of More than tow Computers
A Computer Network
∗ A computer network is a set of two or more
computers connected together in order to share
  information and other resources.

∗ The computers in a network are connected with
one another through cables, satellite or telephone
  lines.
Model of a Network
What is Networking

∗ Making a network.
∗ Working in a network.
∗ Installing a network.
∗ Modifying a network.
∗ Configuring a network.
Benefit of a Computer Network

∗ We have 100 pc’s
∗ So we must by 100 CD ROM’s 100 printer’s and etc.
∗ It’s make costs higher and higher
∗ What should we do to prevent from this loses?
∗ What is the solution
Solution is here

∗ Make a Computer Network.
∗ Just we need one printer and one CD ROM and
  other device.
∗ How it’s possible?
∗ With Network every thing is possible.
∗ Share those devices among all computers.
∗ So all computers can use those devices.
∗ And costs are will goes down.
Why? Use a Computer
            Network!
∗ In computers network we can (share nodes, clients,
  workstations and servers)
∗ can share:
  ∗ Files
  ∗ Resources
  ∗ programs
Shareable & Non Shareable

             Shareable

1: Hard ware 2: Soft ware
1: Printer, CD Room, Flash, Floppy, Modem.
2: Any S/w
              Non Shareable
Mouse, Keyboard, Camera, MIC & etc.
Network terminology
                                         This is
                          This is a
                          a Node
 What is Node? Node

  › Every device
    attached to a
    network.
  › Every device at the
    end of link.
  › Every device (if it
    will be directly
    connected or This is
                                 a
    indirect) Node
Cont..

∗ What is Link?
∗ The path available between two nodes.
∗ The nearest path throw which two computers will
    connect with each other.
  ∗ Communication media.
∗ The physical path between tow nods.

                             Link
