  • 1. Τ he Biggest rivers in Greece
  • 2. 1.Aliakmonas
    • Located in Western Macedonia and is the longest river in Greece with length 297 km and is located entirely in Greek territory.
  • 3. 2. Achelous
    • It is the second long river of Greece. It flows from the Pindus Mountains and specifically Mount Lakmos , SW of Metsovo and after a 220 km trail empties into the Ionian Sea.
  • 4. 3.Evros
    • I s the second largest river in Europe (after the Danube) and the main river of the Balkan Peninsula, with a total length of about 530 km
  • 5. 4.Pineios
    • Called Salavrias located in Thessaly. The sources are on the Pindos.
  • 6. 5.Nestos
    • It is the fifth largest river in Greece, while the flow to delineate the border between Macedonia and Thrace. The overall course covers 243 miles, 130 of which are found on Greek soil.
