     capture Tunnel Hill.      the Confederates at Mill
    General Schofield to      Creek Gap; the
     Dalton from the           Confederates held.
     North.                   General Thomas attacks
    General McPherson         Dug Gap; once again,
     to the South.             the Confederates hold.

  General Harker slowly reached the end of Rocky Face
   Ridge where he met General Cheatham and Stevenson’s
   armies at the angle; the bloody battle was won by the
   Confederates.
  General Schofield loses to Confederate General Wheeler
   at Prater’s Mill.
  General Thomas goes North; he loses at Mill Creek Gap.

  and lack of blankets and shoes were getting
  solved during this time.
Casualties: Confederacy-600, Union-837
Victory: Union victory by default.
Significance of Result: The Atlanta Campaign of
  Major General William T. Sherman began at
  Rocky Face Ridge and was able to continue to
  other locations.
