Regional engineer elaborated
the roles and responsibilities
of the project, audit and O&M
committees. He also gave
detail cost of the project. Total
cost of the project is 4,079,353
PKR with 600 HHs. He also
explained the contractor’s role
and the material that would
be supplied by the contractor.
Though there is a
pedestrian bridge that
connects the village sadiq
abad to main road
however it is not jeep
able and the villagers face
lots of difficulties while
carrying goods, patients
to hospital and agri-
products to market.

2. MPA Malak Behram was also present on the occasion. He said that SRSP is doing a
great job in Dir for empowering the poor communities. He said that due to limited
resources, provincial government can not address all of the issues and that is why
SRSP is a helping hand of ours.

3. According to the MNA Mr. Tariqullah, the said bridge is dire need of the
community. This would be the only access source and that is why the people of
the village had once protested and had hunger strike on main Dir-Chitral road
to make the administration realize the importance of the said bridge. The MNA
thanked SRSP from the core of his heart for addressing the needs of poor and
disadvantaged communities of Dir Upper.
