The Castleberry Independent School District (CISD) is a relatively small, but technologically
progressive, school district located west of Fort Worth, TX in a community consisting of River
Oaks, Sansom Park, and a small section of Fort Worth. The District has 476 employees,
consisting of teachers, administrators and support staff, with 3,672 students enrolled.
Castleberry ISD has seven campuses which includes two high schools, three elementary
schools, one middle school, and one alternative learning center. They are:

 A.V. Cato Elementary
 Joy James Elementary
 Irma Marsh Middle School
 Castleberry High School
 REACH High School
 TRUCE Learning Center
The Technology Department, led by Assistant Superintendent of Technology, Renee Smith-
Faulkner, introduced plans for adding digital signage that coincided with the building and
opening of the new A. V. Cato Elementary School. Digital signage will be rolled out to all
campuses and administrative offices over the next one to two years.
In requesting demos and proposals from various vendors, CISD included the following items in
the scope of requirements.

Five different products were reviewed or demonstrated before the final decision was made. All
offered some version of the items listed in the scope of requirements. So we measured the
information gathered from the five vendors and evaluated them based on:

 Software ease of use
 Flexibility
 Change management
 Customer Service (during the review
process)
 Technical compatibility with existing
network
CISD found Rise Vision rated highest of all the five reviewed. While others also had overall high
ratings based on the initial criteria, Rise Vision edged them all out when certain key
differentiators were added to the criteria.

The new A.V. Cato Elementary had its dedication ceremony on October 4, 2012 with the five
Rise Vision digital signage displays throughout the campus being one of the star attractions
during the tour of the 98,000 square foot campus. CISD is preparing to roll out digital signage at
the next elementary school, Joy James Elementary. This next one, and future rollouts, is even
simpler than the initial site because the design for each elementary school will use the same
template. The only changes are minor, text ones relating to school name, motto, and the site-
based news ticker.
Being able to design our own templates and re-use them goes along with the other elements
CISD finds attractive about using Rise Vision, such as the support. Response to support tickets
and community forum posts always takes place within 24 hours or less, mostly within 2-4 hours.
Always having free training webinars available is another plus as we train support staff at the
campuses to manage and update their signs. This definitely adds to our satisfaction with the
cost, flexibility, and support.
Overall, for CISD purposes, the Rise Vision digital signage platform with its associated Rise
Display technology and support is an excellent fit.
