2. About Vera Raposo
I have been an entrepreneur since the age of 20 (1995),
from owning 5 retail stores to discovering the beauty of
the internet in 2004. I sold/closed all 5 locations and
moved my biz completely online in 2007.
My life and biz was completely overhauled when my
daughter was diagnosed with cancer. After her 2 ½ year
battle (you can read more about it here) I sold my online
biz.
I then spent a couple of years with God, thinking,
praying and just being with Him and discovering who I am and what I
need to do in this world.
YourCreativeBiz.com was launched October 2012 with the goal to
discover the life and business of my own dreams. I hope to inspire many
women to do the same.
My motto in life is, “Life is good! Best wearing flip flops and living my
life for others.”
Hebrews 11:1 – Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain
of what we do not see.

So here we sit, in just a few short posts we have already chosen my niche
which will flow so easily from me.
Here’s the list of our back and forth talk so you can follow
along:
● Vera: Affiliate Marketing: Intro & First Question

I’d like to state again, this really is not easy. I’m truly sharing
from my heart and the depths of my soul here. I know that whatever I
put my hands to needs to count for eternity. There’s no point building
something that doesn’t share my faith in God and I’m so amazed how
quickly Lynn pulled that out of me.
I will be forever thankful to Lynn for taking this time with me, she’s a
truly special person. I look forward to joining her Private Mastermind
Group.
The other thing I’d like to mention is as you’re reading this, I hope you
look deep into what your special callings, gifts, passions and desires are
in this life. You are a different person with something truly special and
unique to bring to this world too.

5. It’s my joy and prayer that you are not just inspired by this cross blog
conversation but are ready to take action for yourself too.
Here’s a picture that I took in Vancouver that to me reflects this moment
in our conversation, I’m feeling very purposed, equipped, called,
designed and valued.

Oh I love this, I really — really love this!

In fact, buying market or not, this is truth: If you can build up a
huge audience, and a loyal readership (and social media following)… you
can monetize your affiliate blog. Period. The options will be endless if you

6. have an audience. Merchants and Advertisers will be coming to YOU
wanting to get exposure to your readers.
It’s a new day for affiliate bloggers … it’s refreshing!
The creativity that can now POUR out of you can be well received by your
audience with many different avenues — back in the day it was focused
on search engine optimization (SEO).
I’ve often compared SEO to flossing your teeth, totally required but not
fun to do.
Thank goodness there are many other ways to get things going!

Once she got excited about the idea, and agreed it was a perfect choice
for her, we brainstormed available domain names. I happen to be pretty
good at this.
Ah yep, Lynn is amazing at this! Seriously, I was blown away by her
suggestions!

The idea being that she can use this blog to discuss expanding your faith,
the journey to peace & joy through faith, discovering your calling,
stepping out in faith, her missions of course, and to motivate and inspire
people on a spiritual level. If you know Vera, you know this is the very
core of who she is as a person.

7. Oh yes it truly is, I even spoke about it at my Faith Works Grad, the
moment I knew that God required SO much more of me. I will not live
ONE day of my life not doing all I can to get that message out to the
world, serving my church, helping others, and doing all I can for my kids
and my Grand Baby that’s on the way.
Here’s Why I’m Doing What I’m Doing
Adventurous Vera ….
Let’s talk about her for a second, I think we all have adventure within us
but we let it lie dormant and ignore it. It’s the excitement of a new day we
had as a child, remember when you anticipated Christmas Day as a
child?
As a child I was extremely adventurous ..
I was the first to jump on the rope and land in the deep end of the pool, I
spent many times doing the zip line at kids camp, roller skated my
tooshie off and was pretty darn good at it, was the captain of my soccer
team in grade 6, on the relay team, ran my butt off for short AND long
distance running (although I was much better with the short distances), I
was also on the basketball team, loved to swim and ALWAYS jumped
off the high diving boards.
I want to find that kid again and I haven’t thought about her for
a long time.
As we grow older, raise our kids, we let our dreams die. We forget,

8. shove them down and they are sooooo far away from us we almost forget
what we loved to do.
I’m very excited to explore this part of me once again but as an adult.
What I absolutely LOVE about this domain name that Lynn chose for me
is that it keeps me open to any kind of adventures and any place on
planet earth.
I’m not stuck to British Columbia which was my thought process before.

10. looking for peace, tranquility, faith, hope, love and wanting to make a
serious difference in their world.
Lynn Said…
In my next post in this ongoing series, we’ll walk through the actual
set-up of Vera’s new niche affiliate blog. The nitty gritty details n stuff.
My next question to Lynn…
How much content should I now be prepared to write for this new blog to
launch it out there? I have some ideas and I’ve also been following
Corbett Barr’s program, “How to build a blog that matters“ (which is
really good by the way!) on preparing for this. I’m a little nervous to take
on another blog but thankful that it is overflow of everything that I’m
already doing.
PS. Did you like my Pinterest photos? I really love doing them
