2. Biography
Lauren Hoffman is the owner and artist of ArtPopTart.com. She is an emerging
artist who earned her degree in Visual Arts from her local community college in
Hagerstown, MD. She has made over 50 mixed media pieces, using chiefly
collage scraps, acrylic and spray paint. Her inspiration comes from pop
culture, taking popular aspects of society and representing them using snippets
of popular magazines.
She recently set up an Etsy shop under the name of "artpoptart" where she
sells high quality giclee prints of all her creations. Currently she is showing an
exhibition of 20 works of art at the Fine Arts Company in Hagerstown, MD
until July 30th.
Lauren is a Maryland Citizen of the Arts, a member of the Museum of Modern
Art in NY and the Delaplaine Visual Arts Education Center in Frederick, MD
and volunteered for a short time at the Delaplaine. Lauren is currently a
resident of Hagerstown, MD and hopes to become a valued member of the arts
community.

3. Intent of Exhibit
The focus of Ms. Hoffman’s collection is to bring to attention the brand
new method of collage work she employs. Not only have I never seen
anything quite like it but many other art professionals are impressed by the
originality in her method. Miss Hoffman wishes to display approximately
20 pieces, each ranging from 16 x 20 -20 x 24 inches. There are no special
installation needs as each piece is constructed on gallery wrapped canvas.
