There are 4 stages of mind. Out of 4 two are the only which are eligible for manifestation. If your life is around other three, you will be only get sorrow, pain, suffering, distraction and so on… we have all probably experienced each of these stages at different times.and we tend to fluctuate among them.

- How to be constant in practice?
- Hard to maintain regularity.
- My practice is not giving me desired results.
And so on…
Before you commit to any practices or any process, to have desired results. You must check, whether you are
eligible for that practice or not.
We manifest only under the rules of nature.

2. Once you understand this, you will be successful always.
There are 4 stages of mind. Out of 4 two are the only which are eligible for manifestation. If your life is around

experienced each of these stages at different times.and we tend to fluctuate among them.
Lets understand these four stages and and know which one we are surrounded by.
Four stages are
- kshipta
- Mudha
- Vikshipta
- Ekagra
- Niruddha.
Kshipta- This is the lowest state of mind. It is like monkey mind - jumping up and down all the time. Instability ,
fluctuation of thoughts, highly agitated personality are noticeable in this state.
In this state mind is full covered by rajas guna (gunas are the qualities in nature - considered as energetic forces
that weave together to form the universe and everything in it. They are the cause of manifestation )
Mudha. Mudha state of mind is sluggish state, which is fully pervaded by tamas guna. In this state no any
information seems to reach and stored in brain. In this state one’s mind oscillate in confusion, doubts, this state
of mind is full of uncertainty. Listless state- can’t differentiate right and wrong, actions of the person having
this state is fully influenced by senses.
Vikshipta- Truth implants upon this state of mind. Satva guna(purity) is the base of this state but not fully
stable. Here mind receive the informations but seems unable to process them. Mind remains in confusion such
as - “should i do this or not”, “i can do everything”, “i cant do anything”
Ekagra -this is full satwik state of mind. The person is focused and attentive. This is the state where
manifestations can be experienced. This state is the eligible state of mind for spiritual growth.
Niruddh- this is the boddhik state of mind. Buddha, mahavir, patanjali, swami sivanand and many other yogis
were in this state. Your mind is not distracted by random thoughts.
In this state mind is fully observed and merged with focused object. This is enlightenment state. At this stage
the mind gets beyond the laws of nature, and merges completely into nature. This kind of mind transcends all
sorrow and suffering, the laws of nature cannot bind it. All suffering’s of mind leads to disappear.
Every person 's mind moves in these five stages at different times. And on his basis he decides his actions. If the
mind remains in the three stages of the past it will be very difficult to move towards spiritual development
because in these three stages the mind does not experience a sattwic environment and because of which there
is no desire for spiritual growth.

3. Concentration of mind and in a niruddh state is very essential for yoga and spiritual development. as I
mentioned above. This I talked about the state of mind now let us understand what else is needed, required
and very essential to a yogic practitioner and also to his state of mind for yogic growth.
Lets understand the 6 main causes which can bring success in yogic path
उत्साहात्साहसाद्धैर्ाात्तत्त्वज्ञानाश्च ननश्चर्ात्।
जनसंगपरित्यागात्षड्निर्ोगः प्रनसद्ध्यनत॥
Utsahat sahasadhairya tattvgyanashch nishchayat
Jansangparityagatsadbhuryogah prasidhyati
1- utsah (enthusiasm)
2- sahas (perseverance)
3- dhairya (discrimination)
4- tattv gyan ( unshakeable faith)
5- nishchay ( courage)
6- jan sangh patityag ( avoiding the company of common people)
These six causes or very important if you are seeking in Yogic path and if you really want to have strong yogic
foundation fir yourself. Once you have the spiritual foundation, automatically you will be successfully growing
in other part of your life.
Positive attitude is absolutely essential. You should have such state of mind where you think every day is like
the first day of practice. Sometimes when person starts any practice he or she starts with full of energy full of
positive belief but once he continue this practice- because of many barriers, his positive attitude and
encouragement goes less, due to which a person stopes the continuation of the practice which causes him
unsuccessful outcomes. Today, we have a lot of hopes from these exercises, but we are not striving hard
enough to satisfy these hopes, for which we blem the techniques and procedure.
Main rule of practice is - no matter what happens outside of your existence. whether it is rain or shine, Your
own practice must be done regularly. Whether you Are afflicted with material loses or you acquire valuable
positions, your continue tea should not be affected by these changes. Whether you see visible changes of
progress in your Sadhana or not, you must continue with your effort.
