Born in Fukuoka, Japan in 1975. Since being assigned to a natural language processing laboratory at Kyoto University in 1997, he has been consistently involved in R&D around computer science and artificial intelligence (AI), such as dialog systems, text mining, information recommendation, and image processing. In 2007, when he was an assistant professor of the University of Tokyo, he co-founded Littel Corporation, a startup company from the University of Tokyo. After Littel was acquired by LIFULL Co., Ltd. in 2011, he has been engaged in R&D in the real estate tech field at LIFULL. Since 2018, he has concurrently held the position of CEO, Medimpl Corporation.
