Research question

¿how to make a

robot to
localize metals
in the earth's
subsurface?
Top 5 Questions
 1. How to make a robot that can locate different

kinds of metals in the subsurface of the earth?

 2. How to make a device that uses sunlight to move?
 3. Could be a spider robot from recyclable materials?

 4.Build a robot that cleans floors could help the

school?

 5.Could produce an artifact that follow black lines?
background of the problem
 The background is the budget we have had

since we had planned to do the phone with a
very expensive engines and hard to reach ,
but we opted to do the same mechanism but
with simpler engines and can get at any
hardware store.
justification
 This project was done in order to help people

find their lost items and the work of highperformance search and locate landmines
and assist people with disabilities in their
daily tasks of daily living, looking in deep soil ,
trying to find their objects sought , taking
into account the laws of the magnetization
groundwater under the established laws of
beds (depth of soil and the force of the
magnetization on this )
objective
 Designing and building a robot that uses solar

power and we can serve as a locator of metals
in the earth's subsurface
specific objective
 facilitate the search metallic elements by






means of a high-powered magnet magnetic
- decrease energy expenditure using solar
panels
- make a device that helps people with
disabilities
- help find landmines
- try to make the caterpillar -shaped robot
introduction
 This project will be done in order to project a

breakthrough in search of metals and sort
them into features of these , thus resulting in
an aid to humans to find your lost objects
through a metal locator , helping also find
mines , precious metals etc.
theoretical framework


the magnetization of a material is the density of magnetic dipole
moments that are magnetized by metal:
 In most materials , magnetization appears when a magnetic field is
applied to a body. In a few materials , mainly ferromagnetic
magnetization and can have high values exist even in the absence of an
external field . Also you can magnetize a body by rotating .
 Analytical calculation of the magnetization of a body is generally
impossible , including such simple cases as the bar-shaped
electromagnets or horseshoe . In certain cases in which the body takes a
concrete form analytic solution is possible , as in a torus or ring with fully
wound conductor ( Rowland ring ) or in areas uniform fields , there are
also situations in which are physical possible simplifications for
resolution.
 To describe the magnetization is averaged uses three fields in space,
which describe macroscopically moving charges , magnetic moments
and quantum magnetic induction field B:
 B is the microscopic magnetic field average

(represented with the same letter as the real
field , which gives rise to confusion) .
 M refers to the magnetic dipole moments of
the loads connected .
 H is the magnetic excitation and refers to free
streams , and the magnetic poles. Although
identified with the external field , the field H
can have sources in the magnetized body .
Metal detector
 A metal detector is the instrument through a series of

electromagnetic pulses can detect metal objects. They are
used as a safety , mine search or search of archeological
objects.
 its first uses were military level to detect the presence of
landmines, land mines or other explosive system had
metal. They are used in airport security or special
monitoring sites . Also used in civil industry , for detection
of electrical cables , water pipes, etc. . Currently, its use is
spreading among fans to the detection of treasures and
ancient relics. There is a large market for specialized
devices in the search for gold , coins or archaeological relics
, with a booming market in America and in Europe. But the
use of these screening tools sometimes may be in conflict
with the laws of historical heritage in some countries.
 Since the 1970s started to become more and
more frequent use of this technology for quality
control of products in the pharmaceutical and
food industries , and currently this type of
inspection a requirement for many business
operations export or import food and drug .
Metal detectors allow to inspect all types of
products ensuring they are free from
contamination with metal particles or magnetic
type .
 Their use by government agencies such as the
police , to find clues to help locating missing
persons or clarification of crimes in which there
could be stray bullets or torn in scuffles jewelry ,
it is useful to present evidence during the
judgments.
Magnetic
 A magnet body or a device with a significant magnetism ,

so that it tends to mix with other magnets or ferromagnetic
metals (such as iron , cobalt, nickel and alloys). It may be
natural or artificial.

 Parts of a magnet
 Magnetic axis : bar line joining the two poles.
 Neutral line : line the surface of the bar that separates the

polarized regions .
 Poles: the two ends of the magnet where the attractive
forces are more intense . These poles are the North Pole
and South Pole , ( not to be confused with positive and
negative) poles repel and attract different .
