2. SELF ISOLATION IF
YOU OR ANYONE IN
YOUR HOUSEHOLD
HAS SYMPTOMS!!!
If you or anyone at your household has a
high temperature (hot to touch on your
chest or back) with a persistent cough
you must stay home, do not go to any
medical facilities. You must look for help
online or call 111.
4. STAY HOME
The best thing everybody can do is stay at home. On
the internet there’s so many different things to keep us
entertained. Many celebrities are creating live
channels to keep up morale and help us stay positive
during this difficult time. Don’t panic if you don’t have
access to the internet, why not get creative by doing
some home improvements or tackle those chores you
wouldn’t usually have time to do!
5. ONLY GO OUT FOR BASIC
NECESSITIES
You should be going out to shop as infrequently as
possible for food and medicine only, following
guidelines to keep at least a 2-metre distance away
from other people. Ordering online is the safest way to
do your shopping. If you must go out to shop you
should wear gloves and a mask, wipe down trolly
handles with antibacterial wipes, remember to remove
gloves before getting into car and use hand sanitiser.
6. ONLY GO OUT TO EXERCISE ONCE A
DAY
This should only be with members of your household,
it is advised to be in big open spaces where you know
that you won’t come into close contact with other
people (a minimum of 2 meters away). If it is not
possible to guarantee there won’t be big crowds of
people, please stay at home and exercise in indoors or
in the garden if you have one. There are plenty of ways
to keep fit inside, Joe Wicks is holding live PE workouts
for kids everyday to encourage everyone is stay at
home.
7. ONLY GO OUT FOR A MEDICAL NEED OR TO
PROVIDE HELP/ CARE TO SOMONE WHO IS
VULNERABLE
It is advised that older people or anyone with a
compromised immune system should not leave the
house under any circumstances, it is allowed for you to
go out to provide assistance to these people. If you are
an extremely vulnerable person you can go onto the
GOV website to register for help with getting essential
supplies like food.
8. TRAVELLING TO AND FROM WORK WHERE THIS
ABSOLUTELY CANNOT BE DONE FROM HOME
Everyone where possible should work from home,
businesses where staff cannot work from home should
only be open if they are a necessity. If you have to
travel to and from work this should NOT be done by
public transport but if need be wear a mask, gloves
and sanitise hands after.
9. HOW TO PREVENT
THE SPREAD
• Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap
and water often
• If hand soap is not available use a hand sanitiser gel
• Wash your hands as soon as you reach home
• Use a tissue or your sleeve (not hands) to cover your
mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze
• Used tissues should be put in the bin immediately
and hands should be washed
• DO NOT touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your
hands are not clean
10. THINGS YOU CAN DO TO HELP YOU
STAY POSITIVE
• Regularly keeping in touch with friends and family is
so important. Using video chats is a great way of
socialising without meeting up in person. Did you
know WhatsApp has a feature where you can video
call 4 people at once? Phone calls, texts and social
media are also easy methods of staying in
connection with the rest of the world.
• Keep yourself busy! Do an activity like following a
recipe from a cookbook, learn a new skill or do a
series marathon on Netflix.
• Exercise, why not do a work out DVD?
